Poco X3 Pro and Poco F3 debut with Snapdragon 860 and 870
The announcements in March keep going and Poco is the latest company to bring us new hardware. As expected we saw the official debut of the Poco X3 Pro powered by the Snapdragon 860 chipset and the brand's new flagship - the Poco F3, which shares its hardware with the Redmi K40.
Poco X3 Pro
The Poco X3 Pro looks like the vanilla Poco X3 with the cameras and the LED lined up in an X formation. The biggest difference is the new chipset - it is said to be slightly improved version of the 7nm Snapdragon 855+ with the same octa-core CPU and Adreno 640 GPU.
At the front, we’re looking at a 6.67” LCD with Full HD+ resolution and a single punch hole in the center for the 20 MP f/2.2 camera. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
At least on paper the Poco X3 Pro's camera setup isn't quite as impressive as the Poco X3 was. Xiaomi equipped the phone with a 48MP main shooter with a 1/2” sensor and an f/1.8 lens and an 8MP ultra-wide snapper with 119-degree FoV. There are also two 2 MP sensors for macro shots and depth sensing, but we know those barely make a difference.
The Poco X3 Pro is equipped with a 5,160 mAh battery, matching the X3 NFC rather than the 6,000mAh capacity of the non-NFC version. Behind it is an enlarged copper heat pipe and multiple layers of graphite meant to efficiently dissipate the heat, and Poco called this LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus.
The battery supports 33W fast-charging and Poco included the needed adaptor in the box.
The Poco X3 Pro will ship with MIUI 12 for Poco interface, based on Android 11. The phone will be available for sale in three colors - Phantom Black, Frost Blue, and Metal Bronze. The phone's price with 6 GB RAM and 128 gigs of storage is €249, while the 8/256 GB variant is €299. Early birds are €50 less on select retailers between March 24 and April 1.
Poco F3
Fans of the Poco F series might be glad there is a new device in the lineup, but it isn’t an entirely new smartphone per se. The phone shares its hardware with the Redmi K40 with its two big camera holes on the back for the 48MP main shooter and 8MP ultrawide camera. The front is also the same - a 6.67” AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
The Poco F3 is driven by a Snapdragon 870 chipset hooked to a 4,520 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The CPU's prime core can go as high as 3.2GHz, and you also get the latest LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
This phone also has an X-axis vibration motor and Dolby Atmos-tuned dual speakers - one on the bottom, the other right behind the earpiece grille. There is also a triple microphone array that in theory can pick up 360-degree surround sound and allows you to shoot videos with the Poco F3, with the audio zoomed in on the object in focus.
The Poco F3 will ship with either 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage or 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Тhere are three color choices - Arctic White, Night Black, and Deep Ocean Blue with a huge Poco logo on the back. Price is €349 or €399, depending on which memory option the user selects.
Just like the Poco X3 Pro, early birds will also get a €50 discount if they purchase from select channels between March 27 and April 6.

The difference in price between 6/128 and 8/256 is already as little as you can expect. With that price difference you usually get 128gb so it's actually better this way.

6+128, 8+256 looks normal. 8+128 looks awkward.
