My bro has mi 10t pro and I've used it as well, I can it's an excellent phone with great camera and battery life.

Nobody wants to pay twice the price for an average flagship from Samsung and Apple.
I could have easily bought the IPhone 12 at 800€ instead opted for the MI 10T Pro at 600€.
Not paying extra for a subpar device just because it is from Apple

The pricing 'might' drop further still for some of the 11 and 12 variants once they start assembling the phones locally in earnest, in the coming months.
Samsungs are in the same boat.
India has one of the highest sticker prices for iPhones and samsung high end phones anywhere, but to pit the quality of those brands against BBK mid-enders with flagship pricing is a really funny joke.
"Smart" indeed.
