In GSMArena's own review they said camera still lags behind competitor and the Hasselblad is just marketing gimmick. There's also numerous other reviews that say the same thing, it's true that they are better than the 8 Pro, but no way near "destroying" Samsung or Apple camera.

Bcoz of hassle blad and Sony new imx sensor in Oneplus 9 pro have decimated iPhone 12 camera in all departments. iPhone 12 failed miserably and iPhone 12 any variant is no where near what oneplus 9 pro have delivered. Camera comparison has already done with iPhone 12 and Sammy's flagships both of them had no chance to stand against OP 9 pro hence Oneplus 9 pro emerged as clear winner .

Anyway it's too costly . What's the point in buying this phone if u can just spend a 5K more and get the one with snapdragon 888.

now we know why Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco keeps making sure that they are the first to release new Soc (Sd888, 870,860, 865, 765) a few weeks or days ahead of the competion.....

Just a revamped 8T with a new overclocked chipset? I can easily dismiss this new 9R. SD 865 chipset itself is already crazy powerful in the first place, even when using Desktop Mode. The real-world performance difference between the two chipsets is so minute that I don't think it is worth upgrading over the 8T.

$1000 smartphones (mostly Apple and Samsung flagships) that people are talking about, actually costs about $1928.20 in India.

At these price ranges and the phone body quality that they are shoveling off late, why should anyone not opt for a Samsung or iPhone (if not the current then the previous years' models also should be good after the price drop)?

Those who want a really cheap Chinese phone with some nice specs sheet will almost always go for a Xiaomi. Anyone who can pay premium prices will most likely go for a fancy name brand.

1+ is just in a weird place right now since their phone prices just keep going up, quality going down and device support stagnant at the "old" level justified for cheaper phones.

People are becoming much more cost conscious and the 9R looks like the best value to specs of all the OnePlus range this year.

Idk who will pay 40k for a budget brand like OnePlus.

If screen size increased to 6.8", it would become another choice in OnePlus range.

At 39999INR, OnePlus 9R is overpriced for what it has to offer. Especially when Realme GT and iQOO 7 are around the corner with SD888 and won't be priced higher than 9R most likely, iQOO 7 even teased it to be cheaper than OP 9R. If Realme GT can match or stay close to it's chinese equivalent price for India(33000INR), it will be the true Flagship killer this year.

They can't afford 1000$ + priced phones by and large. One plus' main flagships are getting costlier each year so they probably realized if they want to maintain their presence in Indian market they'll need to bring on something more price friendly with decent specs.

So OP 9R has OIS, but 300 euro more expensive vanilla OP 9 doesn't... Why? Why? Why? I would rather have a year old flagship chip with OIS than slightly better chip and much worse camera AND for more money. It is not small price difference, you can get OP 9R AND POCO F3 for vanilla OP 9. That's insane! Oneplus is making no sense no more...
