Well d fact is most companies and most notably our dear pals 4m Cupertino, CA r xtremely envious of Samsung's success n d way they have come 2 dominate d global electronics n smartphones markets in d last few years! D easiest rant at Samsung is "cheap plastic" as d other specs n features of Samsung r not soo easy 4 any1 without some tech knowledge 2 take a shot at! However, looks can be deceptive n Samsung's phones r xtremely light given their volume n size n almst gossamer n unless research into metallurgy is improved im not certain how many other materials can achieve such lightness! Graphene seems 2 be d wonder material these days, maybe we'll have graphene phones in d near future (graphene is alrdy workin wonders in battery tech)!
It's all very gr8 2 be takin sides n bragging abt 1 company or d other, but at d end of d day wat most consumers truly want is d best value 4 money - d best products at d most affordable price point n whoever makes such things deserves plaudits!

popp, 20 Sep 2012Samsung cost much more without quality materials.A Super AMOLED is much much better than M1S TFT. Samsung's camera is a way better than in the M1S one.

popp, 20 Sep 2012Samsung cost much more without quality materials.I'm not a Samsung fan, but SGS3 isn't made from cheap plastic, it just looks like cheap plastic and the materials they use are good, many other companies use their chips. Their products are a little overpriced but they won't become unusable in 1 year...

I'm not stupid to buy overpriced products, but I know how these Chinese companies work... I remember some Chinese phones that became popular in my country in 2008... People bought them because they had a 8MP camera when all others were on 5MP, low price and great specs in paper, but they were in fact pieces of crap, their average life was around 3 months...

Got MiOneS about two weeks. What can I say - TFT display is awful, the camera picture quality is very low. And it's above 300 EUR (!!!) in Europe after paying the customs fees. You got what you pay - don't forget it, guys.

I feel sorry for those poor people who bought a piece of crap like this... Only 190 euros?! If they would have used high quality materials, the production cost (counting salaries and publicity) would have been equal or more than 190 euros... Chinese companies like this one produce phones with great specs in paper, but their performance and durability are really bad... I bet it won't work for more than 1 year...
