Similarly, even though Huawei is banned yet I received January 2021 security patch earlier than 7 Pro.
All 3 were Q2-Q3 2019,even though 7 Pro was premium yet others were midrange

OnePlus has become an advertising scamming company. Trying to push their way through better and smarter advertisement and not better phones. Don't even start me at their horrible software support...

If OnePlus can sell this much of a product that isn't too much of a massive improvement over the 8 series but get 3 times as much sales despite the price increase. What do you think is going to stop them from making more phones that don't improve much from the last series but still have a price increase.

This oddly reminds of Cyberpunk 2077, I remember thinking that it couldn't possibly be bad as the same game studio who made the Witcher 3 were behind it, boy was I wrong.
In the same vain, you might think this camera is groundbreaking considering the Hasselblad partnership but reviews suggest otherwise.

The funny thing is that it wouldn't be a bad deal if the price wasn't as high (in UK and US), OnePlus is treating themselves like a premium brand, not a value one.

[deleted post]Definitely. That is why after millennia of existence we neither have colonies on near habitable planets nor future when the sun dies. Imagine people wanting to migrate to safe areas. With what technology? If they buy whatever shit they are offered at an extra cost instead of learning and selecting the best one and demanding a global evolution.

Today's people and companies use their intelligence for the picaresque, benefits for today ... It would be interesting to see the faces of all of them when something comes from outside and there are no means to survive.
Perhaps it is true that happiness is in ignorance. If you do not have any goal with eating from the benefit you are already happy until it takes your end.

Wait for at least a week, and you'll see many users already complaining about various issues on these devices.
Remember that the S20 Ultra also had so many pre-orders during its launch, but look at how many people were disappointed with the phone after using it.

Not worth to upgrade from OP 8 Pro, hyped camera became just okay, not great.

Forget the cameras, we need longer support for the software.
Lousy 2-3 years not enough these days.

I wish them well but those cameras still need a lot of work.

Should sell well in China. The 8 series was popular but there is a much larger potential market this year due to Huawei not having sufficient stock of their flagships. Good opportunity for Oneplus to grab at least some of those consumers that would have normally gone for Huawei

One does simply not buy oneplus for the camera.
