    I said Xiaomi still insist on chip design in Gsmarena while many other guys doubt me.

    But this time I dont think the new chip is a smartphone SoC.

    It maybe a IOT device SoC(for smartwatch or smartband or wireless earphone etc) or a TV SoC or a individual ISP to improve photoing in smartphone.

    Xiaomi still have a long way to go to solve baseband patten problem for smartphone SoC,to catch the design of latest SoC(even mid and enter level chip).

    Also design the chip may lead many problem------relationship with Qualcomm and Meditek,maybe also get US ban etc.

        Look, Xiaomi is already doing very good periscope cameras on their flagships, while OnePlus is still stuck at 2x optical zoom on their latest high end device, lol.

              Xiaomi is aiming for no.1 , aside from non-stop releasing of new phones , they are also first in new technologies. I hope they maintain their pricing.

The Oneplus 9 is priced similar to the mi11 so it competes with that. The mi11 pro will probably be priced the same as the OP9 pro in China so it will compete with the OP9 pro. The mi11 ultra will be more expensive than the OP9 pro (probably significantly more expensive) so it's probably in a different category price wise.

                    Consumers would appreciate these new innovations and I guess Xiaomi is setting the boundaries higher on every front!

                      Wow, new processor and battery technology. Very much looking forward to that. Maybe it has something to do with true wire charging?

                          From the news "negative anode"....

                          Isn't anode positive? Cathode is negative right?

                          In the past, Cathode Ray Tube (CRT), the cathode emits negative electrons to hit on the phosphor screen to produce luminescence. So my understanding is anode positive, cathode negative.
