I just did the upgrade to G985FXXU7DUC7 , the 500mb software package with camera improvement. There is no DIRECTOR'S VIEW !!! Actually the is no feature added.

    Hi,

Are there any information about the Samsung Galaxy 21 FE 5G and its SOC for the worldwide release ?

Will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 ou 870, a Qualcomm SOC as the 20 FE ?

Hoping Samsung will continue with Qualcomm for the FE series, otherwise it would be useless.

    Thanks

The S20 already has a bad battery life. I guess the director's view would consume more juice while using the camera now

Both S21/S21+ and S20/S20+ has the same camera hardware, so I should expect to see Director's View on the S20 series model.

If the framing is as shown on the wide lens, switching to telephoto would zoom in on her chest and not on the paint and paper as shown on the video. In order to get that telephoto frame as shown you would have to cut her head off in wide frame or tilt and pan before or after you switch. Samsung wants to convince you this is some awesome multicam workflow but in reality it's only a crop cut without you zooming in and out. The most useful feature is selfie and back cam split view, that makes sense actually. But three cams at the back don't make much sense and then there is a question of bitrate quality while doing such video.

zviki, 28 Mar 2021https://youtu.be/gZyGk92X2Okits kind of same, but now as they have additional 3 camera's at the back, this directors view gives option to record from front camera + 4 camera's from the back. in total 5 camera's to record from.
check official video of Director's View.

Stupid... Dual view cameras Samsung used on the phones 4 or 5 generations back, and now this is new feature?

I don’t see why the 865 or even the 855 cannot do this. A Poco X3 with SD732 can do dual camera (front and back) already. Samsung is just keeping features to make people spend more money.

I don't expect this to happen, since I was under the impression that the director's view is possible because of the new SoC's.
