Yuri84, 30 Mar 2021Dongle? You can keep it, I'll pick something with a jack.Even tho I echo your sentiments, flagships with the good old jack are going extinct. 3.5mm jacks are included in only mid range phones these days which might get dropped in coming years. I am saddened and frustrated by the phone industry embracing Apple's philosophy of "creating a problem and then selling the fix".

Gorgeous phone, ...if it had been usable (outside china). Hardware is gorgeous, but the software cripples it completely for international market. Considering the US ban, Ads in OS, the common Xiaomi software issues and compatibility, it is nice to know this phone exists but ultimately not something anyone should buy outside China.

notafanboy, 30 Mar 20214K on a phone is a gimmick
So is QHD
FHD is fine.Due to the pentile arrangement of subpixels, amoled have less red&blue subpixels.
Apple is marketing their oled's with 458ppi, but the red and blue subpixels are actually 326ppi (retina display) and only the green subpixels have 458ppi density.
But a LCD display with 458 ppi have actual red, blue and green subpixels.
For getting sharper images like a 1080p lcd display, amoled panels need 1440p resolution.
Mi 11 ultra have 515ppi oled and thus it's red&blue subpixels are only 366 ppi.

TheLastOracle, 30 Mar 2021Some absolutely stellar hardware starting with that Samsung... moreIt's not the GN1, it's actually the new GN2. It took nearly a decade for us to see a modern camera sensor with the same sensor size and the same pixel size as the Nokia 808 PureView's 41MP sensor. But this being a Quad Bayer sensor, I'd be interested to see how the GN2 with Xiaomi's camera software stacks up against the Nokia 808 with its oversampling technique.

234 grams, seriously ?
My tablet is 400 grams and it's 10.5", around 9000mah battery (can't remember now).
Just to glass back version! Yes it will be like 220 grams or 216grams but still is something!!

I need to see this screen in person myself. I do not trust exactly how good it is. I smell it is the only let down of the phone. After all, Xiaomi never did impressive screens anyways so I have good reasons for smelling this.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2021That right there is unhealthy low light obsession and not s... moreI honestly prefer a brighter image that contains more colour information in the shadows, has less noise and better retained textures than a dark, noisy one. If I want a darker photo I would easily be able to tweak the former in post to make it look exactly like the latter, but no matter how proficient you are at editing photos you would never be able to make the latter look like the former. Lost information is lost and cannot be recovered.
