Cheaper 5G alternative Dimensity along with Huawei Ban(even if miniscule) they still opted mediateks on its devices.
It was quite powerful from the days of Helio X.

      Redmi 9 and redmi note 9 used Mediatek Soc last year, contributed much for those numbers, but this year they switched back to snapdragon.

      Also top Android smartphone Galaxy A50/51 switched to snapdragon,

      Probably this year Snapdragon will reclaim top spot.

              Not suprised considering how cheaper MediaTek Phones are..... Not only that, their SoCs have been improving every year to this day its closing Qualcomm performance wise and mostlikely gonna be in a couple of years.
