No worries, OnePlus has very good developer community support. Just download gcam for it. Problem solved.

My OP8 pro has gcam working on all lenses.
Really helps on the telephoto camera in low light compared to stock camera app.

Also the images captured aren't as good as it should. Below the OP 8 Pro. And aside the cameras they don't offer anything interesting. A generic expensive phone that now seems that they are releasing it with ColorOS in several countries which make it even worse or less desirable.

You are not gonna have blurry photo because of it.

T-Mobile giving $365 off for my old 6T as a trade in was too good of a deal to skip. Should be arriving today by UPS.

                        $800 at min,
well that's too expensive, especially considering this is Oneplus.

Initially, I thought OP 9 Pro would be a good phone and it is a good phone but after the camera shutter lag which was highlighted by MKBHD I don't think I'll buy it. I know the camera is not the only thing in a phone but hey what is the use of a camera if we can capture what we want..!!

Shadocx, 01 Apr 2021They were not crap, just midrange with flagship Snapdragon ... moreTypo: OnePlus 6T had GG6*

STREET PUPPY, 31 Mar 2021One Plus has decided to make better phones. This increases... moreBut everything else you said is true and people doesn't seem to realize that, they are not midranges with flagship Snapdragons anymore, they are flagship themselves, and that will make them more expensive.
The midranges with flagship Snapdragons now are: Motorola Edge S, Poco X3 Pro, Poco F3, Mi 11i, OP9R, Realme GT etc

I disagree about the Gorilla Glass, they had GG4 on OP3 at the same time as Galaxy S7, then Note7 had GG5 and GG4 on 3T.
Now they have GG5 when there is GG6 and Victus, even the OnePlus 6 had GG6, not sure why they do that but it's worse now.
Still scratches at a level 6 with deeper grooves at a level 7, GG Victus is more drop resistant I think but whatever.

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2021oneplus not meant to be just as expensive as samsung.. that... moreWhen was that their motto? And all chinese phones became expensive because they became flaghship themselves, look at the price increase between Mi 9 and Mi 10, then Mi 11 Ultra is almost the same price as the iPhone 12 Pro Max's and Galaxy S21 Ultra's launch prices(I don't care about the actual discounts, it doesn't apply in every countries), and the Mi 11 Ultra is 1200€ and totally worth it, 100/180€ cheaper than an Galaxy S21 Ultra/iPhone 12 Pro Max but inferior video recording on selfie camera? That's fine.
If you compare 2016 chinese phones to a Galaxy S7 or an iPhone 7, you'll notice how they were lacking many things, now they have IP rating, stereo speakes, pretty much everything a flagship like a Galaxy S21 Ultra have, except maybe the software support, 4k video recording on front camera, but where I live a Galaxy S21 Ultra(256 GB) is 1300€, iPhone 12 Pro Max(256 GB) is 1380€ and the OnePlus 9 Pro(256 GB) is 1000€ so it's still cheaper.
The OnePlus 9 pro is well balanced, unlike Apple and Samsung who are mostly focused on their software support and their cameras:
-it's lighter(I wonder how the iPhone 12 Pro Max is so heavy with such a small battery and small camera sensors, no periscope telephoto)
-both the main camera and ultrawide angle have huge sensors, it's once again, well balanced, the Galaxy S21 Ultra's main camera has a much bigger sensor compared to it's ultrawide.
                                        -65W charging(0-100% in less than 40 mins)
-50W wireless charging(it takes less than 50 mins for a full charge)
The Galaxy S21 Ultra and iPhone 12 Pro Max have better video recording on both front and rear cameras, better skin tones on selfies(including portrait and night mode), portrait, night mode portrait.
better color consistency across the lenses.
                                        Better software support.
But these are still more expensive and OnePlus' problems are mostly software, not hardware.
