I love Sony phones, I have been using Xperia XA1 for almost 4 years now and it's working perfectly even now. Sony is thee best ever smartphone.

While market share is important, profit/revenue is what determines how well a company is doing. Sony has started to stabilize and if they continue the way they are, they will be doing good.

Besides most of use for android tablet is for media and people are feeling way worse than year before so the need it even more. And even then, as computer trend moves to tablets and cloud, android with pc on cloud may be great alternative, consider that some companies will use work-from-home more even after pandemic, so as work oriented device its value and sales will grow, well this one also depends on how soon comes microsoft with cheap and powerful cloud based computing(I don't mean pricy, entry lvl specs).
2. as we move to superwide screen, width(when holding vertically) is not enough and even worse with 21:9, be it pictures or keyboard - I did try, its quite bad. Though some brands got great UI, sadly not sony, its still hard. Got also to consider foldables, if there is no foldable from sony, they got to at least try to lead in this non-foldable space - look how big screens got other brands, sony is totally behind in screen size, talk about not exciting.
Talking about foldables, I with it becomes rollables soon, roll design is better for photography than thin body. Mind that there is still no alternative to big sensor tech which is getting even more popular lately. All new ''next gen'' foldables are inferior in camera performance because of physical constraints. Besides, I like idea of magic stick...

Yeah kinda hilarious, where others did it a lot earlier. The one that blindly defending Sony for whatever it does is toxic. Eventhough Sony late in the game, luckily they didnt hear their blind fans opinion.

I am very big fan of SONY smart phone because i am using SONY Xperia C5 Ultra Dual from last 5 Years still running .But now i want to change with SONY with other model.But unfortunately in India Sony smart phone not easily available.So it is good news for Sony users.

it's a shame sony phones didn't take wordwide because i think they are just the most premium beautiful looking phones, even with the symmetrical bezels still there is better than cutout and notches or whatever everyone else jumped to, but guess sadly people dont see it that way for whatever reason

I, for one, can't wait. I'm not interested in the huge advertising campaigns unleashed by Samsung and Apple, all their boats about what their phones can do - usually something a Sony could already do but was never mentioned.
I've had a Sony Xperia from day one, I'm glad they look different from any other brand, I don't need a film style advertising budget to help me choose a phone, I can read, I can see, my ears work, I can make my own decisions, the Xperia 1 III will be another quality Sony product largely ridiculed by Samsung and Apple owners purely because it's a Sony, no other reason.

While that is important, the fact that they aren't bleeding money and they have stabilized is a good sign. The market share will take more time, but if they keep going the way they are consistently, then they will start increasing that as well.
