The Android Freak, 06 Apr 2021One of this device will be One Plus Nord 2.IMO, it's the vanilla model, aka Reno 6. And OP will downgrade the cameras of it most probably.

I've said this in a few comments now so forgive me for repeating myself but I think it's a good example, I bought a Poco X3 NFC when first released for under £200 in UK for 128gig model and honestly out of the litterally hundreds of models released since (bar obviously the higher end models like mi 11 ultra etc at higher price point) I wouldn't swap it for any of them as the specs to price value and the user experience which is vital hold up to any of them. I've seen comments where people have been pannicking thinking their 'new' phone is an outdated piece of junk just because another one has been released after buying it. If you were to test 99% of these handsets you would struggle to see any difference in performance unless you litterally had them all side by side and then the differences would be small. Anyhows happy and contented Poco X3 NFC user here. Peace ✌️

There's a certain saturation point with any product when choice just becomes too much. I've noticed recently that folks commenting from Asian countries are even saying the same things in the comments recently so maybe these companies should think about maybe just slowing down a little especially with the shortage of chips and just refine the products they have. Maybe concentrate on getting things like the under display camera working better or updates for longer or better battery life etc. Anyhows that's just my thoughts, I'm interested in other people's thoughts too?

I guess in China anyway there is a lot of competition and companies feel they will fall behind if they don't keep releasing new phones. I think it is also easier to market new phones than phones that are half a year old. That's just a guess though. I'm not familiar with other Asian markets

Vivo has a sub brand named iQOO and Oppo has 2 sub brand named OneMinus and FakeMe and no Xiaomi is a different company they are also like BBK they make a lot of electronics but their Smartphone companies are Xiaomi Mi, Redmi, and Poco

This is a genuine question and not meant to offend anyone but I'm from the UK and untill I started reading the GSM arena news I honestly didn't realise just how many different phones were actually released so often. We litterally get maybe 5-6 of the 'big' company releases and from what I can gather the USA does even worse than us in this respect. So my question is is there a kind of mentality in Chinese/Asian/Indian countries that thinks more=better? I think maybe here in the west we get a little sceptical of being bombarded with endless product releases and also the fact that if we do actually want to buy one of these handsets either they don't work properly here or by the time they are shipped over the cost is way higher than it should be.
Having said all that I still find it interesting to read about the new releases as it can be a bit boring just waiting for the once or twice yearly releases from Samsung etc. Peace guys ✌️

Acorns, 06 Apr 2021Could you please explain who and what BBK are and what they... moreBBK is a holding company which holds shares in other trading companies. They are the owners of Oppo and Vivo. These are the main two companies in the BBK group and each of these two companies operate independently. Meanwhile Oppo owns Oneplus and Realme as subbrands and Vivo owns Iqoo as a subbrand. Oppo and Vivo have their own separate manufacturing facilities and manufacture phones for their subbrands. Oppo for example manufactures Oneplus phones. Xiaomi has no connection with any of these brands or BBK. I think it generally outsources manufacturing to third parties such as BYD and Foxconn

Certified Gamer, 06 Apr 2021That’s why I don’t recommend BBKCould you please explain who and what BBK are and what they do as I read a lot about the Chinese phone makers all using this company to manufacture their phones which is why they all look the same? Do Xiaomi also use them or do they manufacture their own handsets? Their phones (mostly) have a sense of standing out from the crowd, particularly the Poco X3 NFC, M3 and the new mi 11 series especially the Ultra. I'm currently using the Poco X3 NFC and absolutely love it and while I wouldn't call it a 'pretty' phone it certainly stands out.

Certified Gamer, 06 Apr 2021By October the Oppo Reno 7 will be Rumoured Yeah, it's been around 3 updates a year for that series so far

The Android Freak, 06 Apr 2021What about dimensity 1200 powered Realme device?Even though it doesn't make much sense, it's cheaper. 1,799 rmb for 6g 128gb; 1,999rmb for 8g 128gb; and 2,299rmb for 12g 256gb. Great prices for the gt neo. First sale is tomorrow I think. Check out their official China site for the official prices

The rest seem to simply release endless endless rebrands of the same phone with just any chipset they seem to have lying around and crazy naming and numbering systems that make no sense usually, simply thinking adding pro or pro+ somehow makes them special. Xiaomi at least seem to have coherent and distinctive series of phones across their different brands (though even they also rebrand some of their phones for the sub brands). However overall for price to specs to value Xiaomi/Poco/Redmi are number 1 at the moment in my opinion.
