vivo X70 Pro+ to bring upgraded camera and battery

06 April 2021
Chipset might remain Snapdragon 888, just like the X60 Pro+.

Vivo has to increase battery capacity and reduce half price them they might have chance

Honestly, I'd be happier if they went with S870. S888 turned out to be a terrible power-hungry SoC

But an RGB version would be a possibility.

if they know better they won't do that lol
it's ridiculous they literally just launched the vivo x60 series so if they wanna do 2 flagship lines like the big players they could just name it properly maybe

notafanboy, 06 Apr 2021agreed, 6.6" is already big enough. And if they releas... moreI mean for the specs (888, 12GB RAM, 256 GB), and the camera hardware (1 Super huge sensor, 1 Gimbal Uw, 1 periscope, 1 portrait lens) as well as 4200mah battery with 55W charging. The size of 6,56 inch is considered small if you compared it to the S21 Ultra, Oppo Find X3 Pro, Oneplus 9 Pro. It means Vivo is very good in saving space on an smartphone and makes full use of them. Fitting a gimbal UW camera, 1/1.3 inch sensor with Ois, perisocpe 5x zoom, 2x zoom cam, 4200mah battery, 55W charging and all that specs into an 6,5 inch is considered impossible, but vivo did it nice. At the cost of wireless charging, microsd slot, headphone jack, and Ip rating. But the price is just $600 in china at least, so it is forgivable than the Mi 11, which has very bad camera hardware but is so big at 6,8 inch and only an 4600mah battery.

1/1.28 inch sensor? That seems unlikely given how little of an upgrade it is from GN1 in terms of sensor size. Hopefully they will use GN2 sensor or its derivative with RGBW CFA that they announced last year, that would be a total game changer in the smartphone camera space for sure.

C'mon man I mean I'm sure they released their flagship x60 about like 3 hours ago!!! This is just beyond silly!

AnonD-986036, 06 Apr 2021Hope vivo keeps the size of the phone below 6,6 inch. Since... moreagreed, 6.6" is already big enough. And if they released a mini flagship with the same camera specs I would be the first person to pre-order. But probably not gonna happen.

We need 3.5 mm jack and stereo speakers in this device

Hope vivo keeps the size of the phone below 6,6 inch. Since it is such an joy to use an medium sized Flagship like the X60 pro Plus, unlike the giant ultra sized Flagship of other brands

Any word of wireless charging? Since the X60 pro Plus lacked one. But at just $600, with that amazing price, specs, cameras, design, battery, and wired charging, it is an no brainer value. X60 Pro Plus has the best smartphone camera (in my opinion) currently. Best lowlight, best ultrawide, best stabilisation, best HDR, best bokeh, best astrophotography mode. It just needs some work in video, colours and white balance and the selfie camera

i think it's the same because of the size apparently

so vivo must've bought the imx700 and maybe sony will market it as another name to the public.

i wouldn't be surprised, since the imx700 is one great imager.
we just don't really know if it can record 8k tho, maybe it can but huawei's processor only limits it to 4k recording. (both the kirin 990 and the kirin 9000)

I'd rather they upgrade the screen to 1440p and use a lens that is not as wide angle as on the x60 pro+ which I think is 23mm equivalent

I hope it will be proper flagship this time with stereo speakers
