its interesting that there are a lack of "tough" smartphones made nowadays.
samsung has discontinued their "active" line
it would be smart of lenovo to leverage their thinkpad "tough" branding
it doesnt even have to be a whole new phone design. Even if they made a thinkpad style case for a phone that was truly designed to take abuse but not be as chunky as the big otterboxes; I think it would sell.

People have been bashing the iPad Pro but let’s not forget it’s a TABLET and the Huawei Mediapad (2018) also had the exact same bendgate issue. The Galaxy Tab S7 did not snap but the screen detached. And the topic has always been the iPad Pro.
Now that we can see ppl here are defending the Legion phone. This is a phone, not a tablet. 😉

Have you ever heard what is an "accident", a friend could simply come to visit, it wasn't expected, so you let your phone on the sofa, then next thing you know, he is sitting, and you heard a Crack.
So yeah, everyone has money to BOTH buy a 800€+ smartphone and have another one as a main phone?
What is even the damn point of a smartphone if you keep it a home? It is a PORTABLE phone, not a sedentary phone.
For the price you can build a good gaming desktop or buy a PS5 AND an Xbox Series S.

Nor it's comfortable. Nobody is going to go to afrika with it. just use it at home. you wont have issues with the bending and non waterressistance. just be careful with your phone.

Also the handful or so of those that might actually consider buying this thing are likely to be quite devout in their reasons for doing so. Take MagicMonkeyBoy's comments below, the dude is actually stating how impressed he with the device in the very same thread demonstrating how ridiculously easy it is to completely annihilate said device.
I mean, you just cannot expect to be able to compete with that level of reasoning........

though i must admit gaming phones are nice to have (if you have multiple phones) but i believe they should be sturdier as gaming devices are expected to take rough handling... unless you have a controller where you put the "aggression"... then still the question, if regular flagships can do that, then why a gaming phone?
i really thought legion will be better built than rog...

Hahaha and you complained Nokia's devices too expensive.. Remember the cost saving does not come out of thin air.. Some corners are definitely cut whether it is hidden or not

I cannot believe I am saying this as a red magic user... But I am more interested in this Lenovo Legion 2 Pro than any other gaming phone. Legion series I think might have smashed it... Really impressed.

Hikers and construction workers... moreHikers and construction workers take their devices into more hazardous environments. they don't necessarily handle them in a more intensive manner.
These devices have to endure the hissy fit tantrums of the modern ‘gamer’, cause you know, gaming is now a way of life and a community and all that clap trap, apparently requiring special dedicated equipment (much like hiking and construction work when you think about it) and not just a pass time any more .
In this field, the Lenovo Legion Dual 2 doesn't pass muster.

Lol, what a joke are those proclaimed gaming phones, complete gimmicks. They run games same as any 200euro phone, but they have stupid fans, shitty cameras and breaks like Pringles Crisps, and yet cost as top of the line flagship, sorry for people who buys them :)
