Verizon's LG Velvet 5G UW is receiving Android 11 update

I currently own an LG Velvet 5G through Verizon wireless, and although it states when it's utilizing the 5G Network due to my phone coming to a dead holt. IT DOES NOT WORK!!

ma... moreWhat happened to all those talks about Android being easier to update since Android 4? Every new major OS revision Google keeps touting new builds/process that was supposedly streamline updates. Every. Major. OS. Update.
The only important updates now are security updates since Android is getting IOSified per revision now.

makes phone stupidly slower, brings like 5% new useful features to 99% of users, at the cost of like 70% more disk space, this is ridiculous, a slap to the face, an evidence of idiot programming and laziness. The ONLY updates that really matter are those from apps, and you can still get those TODAY even in android 6, and those are still a slap to the face. Android is just garbage.

They have paid lip service to the mobile phone division for several years. Seriously how long does it take to test an update? Were they rolling it out to beta users or testers? No Their heart wasn't in a anymore.

The reason for LG to give updates so late is that they do QC on their software, I've never heard of an LG with software issues, they lag but that is because the specs, and most issues on LG phones are hardware related

Kek, 10 Apr 2021Normally speaking, LG carrier locked units get updates fast... moreT-Mobile phones are pretty safe to buy. They're easy to unlock and they usually support global frequencies because T-Mobile has free global roaming. There are a few exceptions, like the LG V60.

Normally speaking, LG carrier locked units get updates faster due to carrier contracts.
Unlocked units are left in the dark.
