If you buy a phone and it’s has a glass rear, it doesnt matter whether you can’t feel the glass or not by putting a case on it, within the purchase that the consumers make, if there buying a premium phone they should expect to have premium material used to make the device.
Using plastic on the FE will be a given.
Even GG5 on the standard S21 would’ve been a premium factor over the Glastic it uses.
Samsung very likely could have put proper glass on the rear of the S21 and sacrificed the Telephoto Cam.

uknowme, 13 Apr 2021samsung fanboy fanboy x100. you dont know anything called g... moreI would like to see gorilla glass on FE, but bro, be reasonable, no one offers victus at this price point, and second, I personally prefer plastic back, first of all, if you see this plastic in person, you would see that it looks real good, second glass is slippery and catches lots of fingerprint, and you use case anyways, so I'm OK with that, I want my phone to be practical not just beautiful

We have top mid-range phones and lower mid-range phones. Is the most important segment out there with the most options. And this can sometimes create confusion.
Also it matters how the particular model is marketed by the company. And Samsung markets the S20FE editions as top mid-rangers, not flagships. Of course it borrows some things from flagships to make it more appealing. But is not a flagship model.
