Samsung Galaxy A82 live shots leak, reveal familiar design

12 April 2021
The camera setup is in line with the current trend, but nothing like the Galaxy A80 flip camera.

Absolutely nothing special. Now that Samsung's rotating camera mechanism is gone for the time being, I'll be looking at ASUS.

I loved the polycarbonate finish on the poco F1 but my problem is that every single Samsung fanboy said that was cheap and tacky so people can't have it both ways. Putting gorilla glass 5 front and back is just going to be more expensive and premium than a plastic or glasstic finish. I know that Samsung use a composite so it may not be pure plastic but it's still cheaper than gorilla glass 5. Poco have put more premium components into this phone than any manufacturer ever has in a phone that costs 292 euros. That's what I paid. It's madness. I could buy almost two for the price of the A82. I'm just trying to find a way to justify it. I really want someone to explain it to me coz I just don't get it

Hemedans, 12 Apr 2021S20 Fe has usb 3.0 same price categoryThe A82 doesn't have USB 3.0 and I just seen that there's no WiFi 6 support on this A82 as well. I'd say access to fastest WiFi protocol is much more important anyway than it's USB connection standard. Interesting chat with you but sorry I'm just not seeing it with this phone. I think as usual, Samsung missed a golden opportunity here. Put this phone out at 400 euros and people would probably go for it. I see no logical reasoning to go for it. I'm awaiting delivery of my Poco f3. I really would like to go back to a Samsung but until they get back into the real world, I can't. I could afford the A82 outright and my network offered me an upgrade to the Samsung galaxy S21. I'm not wealthy but I could stretch to the A82 fairly comfortably. It's more down to wanting value for money. I don't feel that the Samsung is better in very many respects spec by spec and certainly as an overall package, you're getting more for less with the poco F3. Faster charging, quicker storage, more powerful processor, better connectivity, a far more premium build and most importantly a better value package. Just noticed as well that the ram on the poco F3 is low power double data rate 5 and the A82 is using the 4x version. Bluetooth A2dp is 5.1 on the poco F3 and it's 5.0 on the Samsung galaxy A82. Like literally everything apart from the camera is better on the poco F3.

Hemedans, 12 Apr 2021Samsung has bloatware since forever, they pioneer bloatware... moreIt's UFS. That's universal flash storage. It's a global jedec standard. It doesn't have variations based on geographic location same as Bluetooth and here's a link as well showing the A82 comes with USB 2.0 standard as well.

            https://phoneaqua.com/samsung-galaxy-a82-4703.php

So it doesn't even have that on the poco F3. So sorry I'm still really confused. Can you give me any legitimate reason why the Samsung galaxy A82 is over 250 euros more expensive than the poco F3? The only thing it's better it seems is having OIS on the camera but I'm not even sure looking at that spec sheet which may not be 100% accurate, that it definitely has OIS. To me, it's an inferior phone and people give it a pass because it's a Samsung. Sorry but I genuinely feel that it's a bit of a con job.

And plastic can be piece of beauty, as former owner of Nokia N9, I have newer own anything like it since then. Same to Lumia Devices back then they were cool, colorfull, durable, great signal with polycarbonate.

Most of things you mention are soc related like Gpu, image signal processor etc. Sd 860 and 870 they will perform same in most task, unless you are gamer or power user.

As I said before it was tested lot of time, Chinese ufs is slower, you need real test to see how storage perform, call it ufs 3.1 or 3.0 alone it's not enough.

About widevine also you need to see with your eyes. Widevine L1 can play HD, Full HD, HDR etc. Some phones play HD video but Not HDR. Good example is Poco F1 you mentioned, lot of people are complaining even in 2021 they can't play Full HD video in Netflix.

Polycarbonate was used on the poco F1 and people laughed at it. I use my Xiaomi mi 10T lite on my desktop through a WiFi direct connection. What on earth would I need a usb based connection for? This high speed usb connectivity is hardly a major USP. People don't say I need to have that phone because it has a faster USB connection. The Samsung galaxy A72 5g priced at 550 euros has USB 2.0. what makes you think that this A82 will have USB 3.0 anyway?

Poco F3 has hdr10+, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and hi res audio as well. Neither has a screen that supports an adaptive refresh rate. That's reserved for the very top Samsung S range that use LTPO screens. That is useful but again hardly worth the premium charged for this.

Look just admit it that Samsung are putting at least a 100 euro premium on their brand name. The only thing that this phone will have that the poco F3 does not is optical image stabilization on the camera. Slower camera, slower storage, slower processor, slower GPU, smaller ISP and still a bigger price but they're Samsung so they can charge what they like and someone will buy it because of it's name. People talk about bloatware on Chinese phones. My last Samsung was full of bloatware with booking.com, Samsung apps and many more and you could only remove them via ADB or root access.

I will give you another example, From Samsung, LG, Sony and other big manufactured their phones always came with large number of Certificates like Drm and stuff like that,

Chinese phones skip them, you will see Chinese manufacture with high resolution display, hdr10 and lot of good specs then they miss those L1, L2, L3 certificates, when you enter Netflix you get crisp 480p videos which won't take advantage of your display.

sq2013, 12 Apr 2021Thanks for the reply but I can't agree with you. The b... morePoco F3 use USB 2.0, and you can't use USB 2 or any USB Below 3 to do things I said.

                                USB 2 has 480mbps bandwidth (60MB/s), while 3.1 has 5gbps (625MB/s), USB 3.1 is more than 10 times faster than USB 2.

With that bandwidth you can use your phone as desktop, connect dock, wired streams etc.

And Samsung Ufs is much faster compare to other manufactures, ufs 3.0 from Samsung can beat ufs 3.1 from lesser known manufacture. Unless you test them nothing can be said here.

Glass or plastic doesn't tell true story of build quality, one can use cheap glass other can use premium Material and plastic.

People still have galaxy s2, s3, s4, s5 EtC.I have galaxy note 5 from 2015, I use it for games and other heavy task, until today I use same battery, never changed it, most Chinese phones battery dies in 2 or 3 years, so build quality is huge topic you can't judge it by glass or plastic.

It will just be a rebranded a72.

Hello, i can't understand, is the phone have curved display?
