My account registration has nothing to do here, I'm visiting Gsmarena.com for 15 years, I remember when it had the blogger section where only Europe and UK USA people use to comment and this section was for Asia mixed.

The 12MP 1/2.9" sensor is in competition to the 10MP 1/3.24" sensor on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. I am guessing the Ultra'z sensor may have slightly larger pixels, and very similar actual resolution.

Yes, 50mm, 85mm, 125mm and 240mm would be perfect. Apart from.the 24mm and the Ultrawide.

Kind of shame they don't take hints from competitors, 6.5" and 6.7" are popular, I would actually like even cheaper xperia, if it came with bigger screen, even 6.9" would do.

I'm not sure if that also holds true for a smartphone photography, though. Sony is rather dismissive of the whole idea of computational imaging employed by other smartphone manufacturers, and mainly focuses on what happens before and while pressing the shutter.

I'm guessing that the next revolution will be a real, continuous optical zoom, though, since the module itself has been already developed by a company called OFilm and it's up to the smartphone manufacturers to implement it. It would be interesting if Sony ended up being the first to have it on a smartphone as well (since OFilm used to be a sub-subsidiary of Sony).

21:9 is the UGLIEST looking screen aspect ratio, that's why no one buy , and also 20:9 screen ratio is ugly.
Sony if u want to get good sales make phone screens with 19:9 ratio with 6.2 inches screen.

For me, M11 Ultra periscope are powerful, in terms of pure depth of field, colors, details (thanks to the biggest sensor for telephoto available currently) and can stretch up to usable x10 (eventhough longer FL are not my preference).

The only downside is, sensor in periscope module are sits vertically, therefore smaller sensor are used, to control thickness of the phone. Mi11 Ultra using 1/2.0" sensor, look at how thick it is. 1/2.9" is fine, though 1/2.55" are better, if want to control the thickness, at least for a smartphone. If I get to choose what those 3 telephoto FL is, 50mm, 85mm & 125mm. Those are my favourite.
