SONY flagships are best for professionals and artists. BEST (battery life, sound, camera) newer models 50/50 compact size (depends on person. Not truly compact anymore. But still narrow enough to place in pockets and also use...) I will only use with VZW. (Z3V and xz2 compact. 5m2. Soon 5m3 for 5g compatibility) ONLY COMPLAINT (not with any carrier. Must pay FULL MSRP. Most will not pay over $700 without any type of payment plans.)

For the life of me I have given up hoping for Sony. Again. All the "Mark III" devices won't come after atleast 3-4 months down the line, a paltry 8MP selfie camera (yet again), a tall 21:9 aspect ratio that's only good for gaming and watching something but BAD for thumb gymnastics, social media, etc. I could go on. They are all incremental upgrades not even in the territory of significant upgrades. What's even laughable is the software will remain slow and unoptimised. The only good thing that came with announcement is the IP rating and those fancy audio features gibberish. 5G? Yup that's not even mmWave folks so don't bother. Sony has let down it's fans yet again. You only have to look at the competition. Sony is living in Lalaland and concentrated too much on style over substance. This is very true! For example the Xperia 10iii...even if this sells for GBP399/EUR429 it will be a hard sell because (again) of the competition in it's price range. Would rather spend my money on a Galaxy A52 5G, OnePlus Nord or those midrangers from Xiaomi, Oppo or Realme.

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2021Battery life is also bad as they go for gimmick battery hog... moreSony has always been best for battery life. Since the very beginning. (Every uses SONYs camera and sensors) (everyone uses LGs screens) it goes far beyond physical parts. SONYs only problem is marketing. (Unwilling to cater to everyone wants, they vary too widely. They just do what they want and try to provide best for everyone) they are and will be best for compact smartphones. (Today is not fully truly compact. But it's slimmer and easier to put in pockets)

Religious Playboy , 19 Apr 2021Even the Poco F2 pro which is a Budget device has a brighte... moreI have the X5II and brightness hasn't been an issue... Yes the number is lower than that of competing flagships but since that number is on a logarithmic scale, it doesn't translate into such a big difference.
Obviously having a brighter screen would be better, but truly it isn't the huge issue everyone seen to try to make it.

These will the most complete flagships for this year. Variable zoom lens and the honest color reproduction are drool-able. Commendable effort from Sony.

Besides, the other way around is even worse. Flooding the market with product after product shouldn’t be considered a positive solution.
