I don't care if Xiaomi sell a single or a billion phones and I dislike foldable devices, I have no reasons to be biased toward this phone at all, I am just stating facts backed up by math, YOU are the one thinking your opinion is more relevant than backed up facts.

We’ll just wait until someone complains this device has some terrible issues. Normally this happens with cheaper phones. Assuming the recent Redmi Note 10 Pro sold in India has a serious display problem there (look it up on AndAuth or other Indian tech websites). Also the QC in my country is terrible, how can a Mi 11 out of the box already have a dead pixel. Luckily it got replaced only after 7 days since unboxing.

30k for 1500$ device doesn't translate to 90k units for 500$ device.
It's not a linear curve.
A 500$ device will sell much more units as more people can afford to buy in that price range.
30k units in a minute is super impressive for a foldable which is still considered a unique device. It's not the norm yet. You don't see too many foldables around.

With 30k in a minute we can easily expect to have 100k in a month, which mean, out of the ~20 new phones released this year by Xiaomi, it would be outsold by a 1 to 4 factor, which for an expensive and niche phone is excellent, even 30k is a great monthly sale figure considering the phone, let alone in a minute.

30K units shipped/sold is only 90K units if it were priced at $500. That's super embarrassing numbers for a so-called "we are in demand now" at STOP with the "it could be even more units sold surpassed 30K" BS.
If it were, Xiaomi would've gloated to say otherwise and the ongoing worldwide chip shortage also says that Xiaomi has not reached higher shipped units or not too much from that... um... exaggerated numbers. 😂
