I'm currently using a mi 10T lite 5G and it's amazing. Yes, I rooted it because I hate miui but that apart, 220 quid for this is ludicrously good value. I could buy four for the cost of an iPhone 12 and I have used an iPhone 12 and honestly it doesn't really seem much better than this. Surely the fools are the ones paying premium prices for brand names? I just ordered the poco F3. It's only 292 euros. If I lose or break these, it's not the end of the world. If I lose an iPhone 12, I'm screwed.

SpiritWolf, 16 Apr 2021Crazy world we live in.
Especially, a cheap budget brand, by its worth and history, is trying to sale above the Apple premium tax.
But, you can easily seperate a FOOL from its money.
Definitely crazy (STUPID) times.

NotAnOpinion, 16 Apr 202130,000 units is now a fantastic number for a country that h... moreYeah, it is only a super expensive and quite niche product, selling more units in a minute than your/the average annual wage in $/€ is so bad, for sure you would do much better?
This is because of this kind of comments that phones who are successful aren't considered as such, since when we need to sell 10 million+ products for it to be a success?
As long as it is profitable enough, it is a success, 30k can be more than enough.
On Marsh 2021 Xiaomi accounted for 10.3% of the global phone market sell, in Q4 2020 it was 11%, and there were 396 millions phone sold in this period, and keep in mind there was Christmas probably inflating sales in this quarter.
We can consider that in four months Xiaomi sold 40 million devices, so 10 millions a month.
How is 30,000 of one of their most expensive, quite niche when there is a low demand for foldable, and the phone much less advanced than the other as expensive phone (11 Ultra) sold in a MINUTE a bad number?
Considering that Xiaomi has a lot of other phones to sell and that there are many other brands, also not every single person is a potential candidate as some already have a smartphone and others just don't have the budget (mainly in China), if they sold 100k this month, it means it will account for 1% of their overall Smartphone sale, which considering the device and its cost is quite nice considering this year alone (and we are still in Q1) they released more than 20 new phones and this phone for sure aren't going to sell in a 1:1 number of units compared to other, cheaper phones.
And we are only talking about a minute, how many people have bought it in the next minutes?
There are brands like CAT or Ulefone who probably barely make this figure yearly, and yet they are still profitable and sustaining.

30,000 units is now a fantastic number for a country that houses 1.3B+ strong people compared to other countries that it dwarfs by a minimum of 5 to 1?

As for wireless cha... moreCameras I agree they did their best, their displays could have supported a faster 120hz display, but I believe 90hz is a good middle ground for battery life and high refresh rate. Wireless charging could have been something that could have made it to this model, but I can also see how a device this big, even when folded, could pose some issues to some wireless pads out there. So all in all, I would say it is a solid device, but a dash too heavy for me. The Z Fold 3 is rumored to have shaved off about 50g of weight, so we'll have to see if that is true or not.
