The Xperia Z introduced waterproofing, the Z Ultra improved it. Their Omni-Balance design is the precursor to the design language of the Xperia 1 III.

I'm still using it!!

    The Xperia Z Ultra used to be my dream phone when it was launched (I was a teenager at that time). I really want Sony to get back to being the world-beating flagship phone maker it previously was. It's such a shame that their phone division is in such a dangerous financial state right now.

      Still holding on to my Z2 and XZ Premium..... Despite their flaws, I've developed some kind of fascination and fondness for them over the years. Both slick and butter-smooth after all these years.

        Xperia Z Ultra was my favourite phone of all time. I remember using it for a long time. I tried to switch to Galaxy Note 3 or 4 at some point, but the experience was much worse so I got rid of it and shuck with Xperia Z Ultra. It was epic.

          Sony Ericsson xperia X10i is My first android mobile on 2014..
          Then I was change to xperia E1 dual, M & XA dual.
          But right now am using Xa in secondary.
          Those mobile were best quality and options but Rates are too high on my budget.

            I remember when I got my Xperia Z back in 2013

                My first android journey was started with xperia Z2. It was amazing 😊. Now I'm using xa1 ultra which is amazing too. I'm a big fan of Sony. I can't choice another brand except Sony specially for phones. I wish I will use Sony to my last breath.

                    I am trying to repair my Xperia xa1 ultra. Your Sony care are not responsible. My battery is not good condition it's a big reason Sony go to the Indian market but Sony give mobile parts is Sony responsibility. Please reply solutions

                      My first Xperia ever, was the Xperia Z5.
                      Pretty much begged my father to get it. I was unemployed back then, and just had to get Z5.

                      It was an amazing phone. It was my very 1st smartphone, and i was loving the damn thing.
                      It's camera quality was off the charts for it's time. Yes it's shots were a bit noisy, but man if the 25mp sensor could deliver some amazing shots.

                      I was in love with it's sharp design. It didn't have rounded corners and stuff, and the phone seemed like having a case by itself because of the raised edges around the screen and back.
                      Yes it was a bit uncomfortable, but man it was a looker! Especially in the green/blue color. It's back was actually made of mat glass. It gave you the feeling that it was made of silk. It was a really beautiful phone.

                      I was really impressed when I first saw the Xperia XZ premium reveal. I still have this phone, and actually writing from it at the moment.

                      It looked like it came out from the Terminator 2 movie. It looked like it was made from liquid metal! Shinny like a mirror, and it was actually indeed a mirror!
                      I still love its design. It was so different from any other phone, and still is, with a 4k hdr screen to boot!

                      No phone since then managed to pull my attention so heavily like Silver did. Silver is XZ Premium (that's his name).

                      I really think that Xperia phones are top of the line, and should be considered flagships alongside the other huge players.
                      Yes people don't buy Xperia now because Sony sucks at marketing the damn thing, but you can't deny that Xperia 1III is indeed a flagship with top specs, with some world's 1st as well!
                      But people nowadays are so easy to manipulate. Buying only what's marketed. I believe that us, xperia users are smarter than that.
                      Buying phones after heavy research. Or at least this is what I'm doing.

To choose Sony's phone over theirs, one would have to be one of the sheeps that only buy certain brand products, really. Sony makes good camera technology for others to use, that's one thing that they actually do well. Nowadays they can't even make a gaming console that would have essential features for gaming (VRR, 1440p, etc.). The company has a lot to learn, I mean - A LOT.

                                I have it Ericsson 2628 ;SonyEricsson k750, k800, k810, k850, Satio; Sony Z, XZ Premium and now 1II. Great phones but hard to find pieces. XZ premium stil work great but i have cheap China Display(samme like original at price but low quality). Z try to repair without succes about 3 year ago

                                  I'm still have my Xperia Ultra Z. Very satisfied with this phone. Hope that Sony mobile will re-enter the market in my country again.

Waterproofing is a very rare thing in smartphones unless it’s the very rugged ones that are more sealed, even then most are IP68 at best with higher immersion time and you need to put them in a waterproof case that completely seals them to be truly waterproof.
