In fact LG should quit, because their phones already have zero selling points and has no differences with the others, starting from the G6. Quitting the smartphone business is only good news for them.

Aren't they going to shut down the mobile phone manufacturing...? Then how would they release a new model...?

LG mobile phone business failure has lot to blame on it OS and softwares stable longevity update support. That alone turn off many who was the LG hardware fans like buying a fast depreciation brick with no resell value.
On top of that, lack of unify standard in each model within a region upon the carrier specification help destroy the hardware adoption.

That's of January, 3 months ago, so that just means this phone was on development at that time, but not now. Now LG is over, and this thing is already impossible to see the light.

The certification has a January 2021 date. It was before LG decided to stop making phones this month.

Why are you writing pointless articles about a device that will never see the light of day and a company that is no longer in the smartphone business? Absolutely ridiculous. Nobody cares.

Why is it that the best of best devices are cancelled, despite engineering samples having been produced that showcase the innovation and unprecedented technological prowess - case in point, the original Surface Foldable™ running WCOS/WoA (Windows Core OS / Windows on ARM) as used and openly stated by Panos Panay in a Wired interview in Oct 2015), and the LG Rollable ?

It's 2021. Can we have some positive nonsense happen in this timeline for once instead of just negative nonsense?

Let the rollable be released and a surprise hit. The ultimate Hail Mary. LG reopens their mobile division under new leadership and makes the V70 available for immediate purchase.

The V70 already had the work done on it - it's completely finished. It just never saw the light of day. It also cops some of the design from the LG Velvet, which although on the tall side, reviewers loved. It is a seriously sexy design. A more powerful version of that design would do well.

Even if that rollable phone will be huge success which i dont think so LG is gone from bussiness and there will be no rollable phone 2 or 3 etc.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2021Blackberry is returning ? under the RIM branding or name ? The company behind it (the previous owner was TCL if I remember right) will be different. It is Onward Mobility, a USA based company. I have seen a nice render of a Blackberry a few days ago I will share it with you. It was beautiful, it will rock a QWERTY keypad of course. Even the logo will remain unchanged probably.

Maybe BOE can continue building it as a fully working blueprint for future rollable screen smartphones.

" Unfortunately, we don't really have a lot of info on the hardware of the futuristic device other than the fact that it was going to use a BOE-developed flexible OLED display. "

Well now you at least know it has NFC 😜
