I don't trust Bing Maps any better, given that it places my rural town in the middle of London.

Actually I will follow Tim's advice and look for alternative, but not just for the maps app but for the phone itself. My choice will open source OS that support all file formats (audio, video and docs) , allow sharing, and has the best maps and youtube integration ITS ANDROID

APOLOGY!!!??? Tim cook will kill Apple - when the death grip fiasco came out Steve Jobs did not apologize. ADMIT TO NOTHING! I'm not an Apple fan, but what I know is Apple fans are blind - so issuing apologies will only make them start to open their eyes, destroying that "psychological hold" Apple has over its users. That apology wasn't necessary at all! Coz next thing users will do is start to compare their iPhones to the competition more objectively, feature for feature. And Apple won't win those comparisons.

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2012i have never used anyway google maps or ishitty maps becaus... moreRoute 66 for the win!

Works better and easier than most paid navigation app. Just download your country map and you're good to go. I even freezes Google maps and use route 66 instead as Gmaps hogs my ram too much

                          Hi,

Its my first comment here on GsmArena. But I always read all the user opinions possible to guess what the best phone is before buying one. Lately I am getting confused by the comments from Apple and Android or Nokia fans. The way you guy react on each others flaws and even advancements, makes me believe the other party pays for your rude comments. Is it right? If yes, can you please tell me how to do that? I mean I want to earn some free money too!

Regarding this post, some said Google/Nokia should not allow Apple users to use their map. My personal opinion is let them use the app as it was which will make you improve your own one. If you won't let them use your map, Apple will catch you as more people will use the native one though not by choice and eventually they will reach their goal, but ultimately the users will suffer. Google should make a perfect app for Apple so that most of the apple users use that one and Apple is then forced to invest more on testers before making it perfect instead of getting the job done for free.

Nice though that the CEO apologized but why after selling 5-6M phones? What about the dents? And the wifi vs mobile data clash which is reported by a load of iPhone 5 users? GsmArena should mention about the flaw on one of their reports, please!

Lastly, phone is a personal choice and no one can force one to choose what phone they should go for. So, please stop insulting the users personally because we are the one who pays premium price for these faulty phones and lets be together not based on what we are using but based on the fact that we all are paying for these and we deserve the best for our money!

The biggest map app is already here so why do we need to wait for 5-6 years for ios map to be competitive =)

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2012Around universitys in Sydney... Man how dope can one get? N... moreNah bro I had SGS2 and ONE X.. same thing to me.. all good maps.

Obviously this is Apples first try at the MAPS thing, and it pretty good. Is it as good as the 10 year old maps in Google etc? Maybe, maybe not. Who cares, im just saying they all worked for me, just the same.

Maybe for you it was different?

Everyone on here was saying how bad the Dents and crap issue was.. why then my partners White iP5 and my black iP5 are perfect? Why???

Best phone I have ever used. Anyway, Im not going to change your mind ever, and im happy so its all good use whatever you like.
