Luckily for apple it's just a software problem which can be fixed but oh boy was it a HUGE mistake!! and of course he had to admit it! There was no way of beating around the bush on this issue unlike the scratch issue, the proof was too overwhelming.

Nokia Maps App. Is superb! The Walk and The Drive feature really helps me a lot. Wandering around the city of Manila is Very fun with this app! Free Navigation too! I like it.. Very Useful!

First of all apple users wait quite long for new device and then I face issues like death Grip with iphone 4, now maps issues why not learn lesson and stop paying top dollars, especially queing up to get just ordinary mobile, feel sorry for u....

A strategic move, now apple's public image has stopped going into free fall for the time being.
Coca Cola did the same thing when they said they were sorry for changing the taste of Coke and changed it back. After that their public image was better than ever before.

While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.
they should apologize for their map icon... of course you get lost!!!
who makes a left turn off an overpass unto the highway?
facepalm... apple wants you to drive you car over the barrier and land(hopefully safely) on the highway several feet below....

Come on apple u need not apologise its just an beginning, when google improvised maps in feb 2005 it lacked so many main features today u people are competitors in few months u will surely out beat google map so chill out gud going:)
