in Cook´s mind... weel we cant sue them for having good maps so why waste time developing when we can charge ppl just by selling it in the app shop?? like my mentor used to say "sueing or by any other way we got to get the money thats what counts"

Well well well... this is something you dont hear everyday. Apple actually admitting a mistake and not pushing the blame on consumers (you're holding it wrong!) or their partners. I was partly expecting them to suggest all landmarks and locations that are misplaced be moved to where the iphone's map app is showing them. "it's not our map's fault, you built your city in the wrong location!"

Apple where defiantly innovators in the beginning but just like all money making companies they have seen that there products sell. So now all we get are slightly tweaked versions of items we already own while the competition moves further ahead

                            Or try Navfree GPS.

Or if you actually want regular up to date maps, pay for it.

Serves you right Apple for ditching Google maps. Tom Tom was anyways available in the app store, so it was a big gamble to change the maps support from Google to TomTom. You guys should have rather worked with TomTom on improvements and launched it later in maybe iOS 7 or some other future release
