But what I'm talking about here are the apps. An iOS version of an app is always superior compared to it's android version, since companies are making more money in the app store.

Almand, 21 Apr 2021Hehe, what bout 75inch TVs?U shove that tv on the face? Or u sit meters away from it?
Tablets and laptops are usually kept 40-50cm away from ur face. Some even keep it like within 15cms away.
How can people be this dense?

Mini-led is only better than OLED in having longer lifespan and more brightness. For HDR, OLED is better having significantly more dimming zones. Granted OLED degrades over-time and has burn-in issues but recent high-end panels avoid these at least for the lifespan of the phone. My old S7 Edge is still fine without burn-ins. It does have a black spot mostly due to water-damage.

You think they'll give u mini-led display? It's all about profits for Apple. Mini led display will cost them a lot more.
The M1 chip doesn't cost them much as it is a homegrown chip.
Don't forget Apple prioritizes profit first. Customers are always secondary

Of course, this display of the iPad Pro 12.9" is certainly the best display on any tablet right now. But, I doubt that the Tab S7+ display is a bad one, lol. I just hope that Apple will put a mini LED display on the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro Max too. That will be nice.

388 nits good for an OLED? Well for a tablet it is. But in general this is pretty low. 400 nits is the bare minimum for a reliable display brightness. Can’t even beat the Macbook Air LCD display with 400 nits brightness. I doubt 388 nits will be usable outdoors and especially it’s a tablet.

[deleted post]I don't know, 600-700 nits at most? Samsung never used their brightest panel for their tablet lineup before, so I highly doubt the one on Tab S8+ would reach the level of Galaxy S20 series (which was around 800-900 nits) let alone S21.

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2021Is there any good reason that it doesn't run macOS?In house competition. The new iPad pros have better hardware than the entry level macbooks with same SOC. If iPad had mac OS it will cannibalize the sales of macbooks.
Apple might introduce some functionality from macOS in ipadOS 15 otherwise someone will make an unofficial port since both are running on same SOC.
