Echoing what Nope said, they've lost all their goodwill after the horrendous response to the touchscreen issues in the S20 FE series.

blue.sun, 21 Apr 2021Sure there is, and not just one. Better battery life at fir... more5G does use more battery life than 4G, about 20% more on the iPhone 12 series. However, 5G can be disabled if one's priority is battery life so at least there's a choice. I haven't heard anyone complain about battery life of current gen phones these days, it's sufficient for normal usage.
Hmm, I did look up on the amount of time used for 5G. Netherlands have it at best at 13.2%. I have underestimated the coverage of 5G in Europe, it looks like it is still at its infancy. Western Europe have it better than the rest of Europe but that's nothing in comparison of South Korea, US, Japan and China. Even my country doesn't have 5G towers established yet.
True, 4G does cover a lot of our needs. However, the speed and latency of 5G can be useful for demanding users.
5G is definitely better and has its positives although hardly any difference for most users. Also, you'd get a more futureproof device if you're gonna use it for a long time. S20 FE is already expensive, might as well add up a bit from the 4G to 5G variant.

Shadocx, 21 Apr 2021IMO, your Note 9 is better only in display resolution and s... moreActually it has a higher res display, stylus, better build materials, headphone jack, heart rate sensor, Spo2 sensor, and capacitive Fingerprint reader which is faster and more reliable. And the note 9s CPU is already more than powerful enough, so yeah I'd say it's the better phone.

This is a way of admitting the heating and battery issues on the Exynos version are unfixable. They've officially scammed buyers.

Shadocx, 21 Apr 2021IMO, your Note 9 is better only in display resolution and s... moreI kinda agree with you noo and I'm coming from a Note10+, I want to change but don't like curved and need a MicroSD. But again, the screen is what you look all the time on the phone ... If you see the difference in ppi (I saw it when I switched from my Note9 and still kinda regret it today), it's a pain :P

cyber, 21 Apr 2021very pricey, exynos is around 550 euro in my countryThe point is having SD version, without all the Exynos 990 issues. Hopefully they fixed screen touch issues as well in this edition. If only it was smaller.

Kev, 21 Apr 2021The current price for an S20 FE 5G is 560 euros approximate... moreSo minus €70 there, this device will be available world wide for less than €500. You can get 5G fe for around $500 to $550 world wide now even though MSRP is much higher.
Chinese phone always anounced with low price but they retail at high price world wide, big companies anounced with higher priced sometime including taxes but you get them cheaper world wide.

DrakeX, 21 Apr 2021Is there any reason to get the 4G variant when the 5G varia... moreSure there is, and not just one. Better battery life at first. I don't understand, why so many people cry for bigger batteries, and on the other hand they immediatelly accept more power consuming 5G or 120 Hz display. Does not make sense.
5G network coverage is the second reason. In my country it will be in some five years, and at that time I will have a new phone, maybe even with better power management, than the current 5G toys.
The need for 5G, reason number three. Even 4G is fast enoug to deal well with all tasks, so why would I need faster 5G? If it were less power consuming, fine. But now? Go to hell with 5G.
And yes, the price is relevant too. Why waste money for something, that does not bring any positive?

In middle east, the Exynos 900 variant is much cheaper,
I purchased it about 450 usd in Dubai, 8gb ram,128g storage, navy blue,
The snapdragon 5g version is about 650 usd! With 6gb ram also!
After the update the temperature of phone much reduced and honestly, it is not irritating at all,

At sane price range, I will choose Sony Xperia 5 ii over that at any time. In fact Sony is cheaper and better than the 5G version of this garbage.
