I think that it will have the Snapdragon 750G instead the 765G. They have to justify the price and specs differences.

I don't think that Pixel 5a will receive a new chipset since Google just wants to keep it low cost and 765G are not that bad in terms of everyday usage.

Pixel bores me. The same as Realme's "Dare to Leap". They could partner up, and Pixel put "Dare to put on sale finally for sale the new pixels" in big letters on the back.

        I think 5a 5g coming snap 780g because 4a 5g already comes snap 765.. That's reason if 5a 5g comes with 765g? I hope 1 thing its come under 32k 😆

I'd buy it for 300 bucks. Not more than that.

People need to start looking at what the phone costs and how it performs for that cost.

What it is composed of........matters little !

Agree. It was very well thought out the 5. Classy nice finish and hold.
I was delighted to get away from filthy glass sandwich ugly phones.

I hope Google will start selling phones in Eastern Europe. I've always wanted to buy a Pixel, but the grey market prices are 50% higher than the normal ones.

If they upgrade pixel 5a 5g chipset to 780g,its unfair to pixel 5 user...'a' version is a lower grade from previous pixel so they decided to just use sa beme chipset..its lower the cost ofc and i think google just want oi focus on their upcoming own soc

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2021It's a budget phone. I recently got the 4a 5g for 400€... moreSnapdragon 765G is actually a downgrade even compared to Snapdragon 845 in Pixel 3XL ... Not a big one and mainly in gpu power ... Basically except the lack of the notch you didn't gain shit ... Lower display resolution, only slightly larger battery, no wireless charging ... It's a good phone for the price and I wouldn't mind using it but it's not an upgrade

Since Pixel a series model always have the 3.5mm audio jack, I wonder if I should wait for the 5a 5G since it will be using the same chipset as the Pixel 5. Having said that, if the 5a 5G will be powered by SD 765G, then surely the Pixel 6 will be powered by SD 780G unless Google decided to go back to flagship-tier chipsets like previous flagship Pixels.

If this isn't $399-$450, Pixel is dead. Pixel 'a' line will be the way forward for ridiculously priced last year's refreshed smartphone.

                              OK. If I don't see 5a or at least 4a 5G price dropped to $399 this year, they're overpriced 2020 mid-rangers priced like a 2021 phone.

Google Pixels are already like Unicorns. They say they exist but no one has ever seen one. And that's because of the laziness, slowness and radical exclusion they have from sales in many countries around the world. They might as well stick to making frying pans.
