Xioami went to Samsung for the 108MP cam, then to the 50MP GN2 now back to this Mega-MP count again?

We don't want a monopoly of ideas in technology

Let the pathway of higher megapixels be explored we might discover something new along the way

                  16K video resolution 🤭

Why have we not seen incrimental approaches to video recording, 5K, 6K etc

Surely if 8K 24fps can be done at the moment the 5K 30/60 can be done?

So if there's an option to take a photo at full resolution i.e., at 200 MP, imagine what will be the size.. Ridiculous. I don't like where the smartphone industry is being headed to. Why are we still stuck with these tiny sensors.. I personally don't mind my phone to be thicker than 14mm, if it's gonna have a single 1 inch sensor. You don't see dedicated cameras pack multiple sensors.

                      I don't get it man.

What's the point of making 100 billion tiny pixels only to glue every 4 or 9 of them together?

Gsmarena tests proved time and time again that the high resolution mode does not bring more details vs the binned picture in most phones.

So then you would think the advantage must be Hdr, but if you look at IPhone they still have one of the best if not the best Hdr without any binning gimmick. Just good algorithm.

So then I ask you one more, why not just give us 20MP as close to 1 inch as possible and call it day?

Rony RX100 still blows any phone out of the water in terms of picture quality.

It's pleasant to hear multiple cameras are going away, they looked bad

Sony will slowly start making Higher resolution sensors. They will wait for sometime until tech gets mature enough and then start to copy just like 48mp and 64mp sensors.

But you lost me at that part where you said it brings more detail than the Mi 10 Ultra, yeah i dont know about that because if i go to the weird donkey thing in the Compare Tool, i can see each of the threads better on the Mi 10 Ultra than the 11. Another example would also be when you look at the red star with the bow on it.

0.64 µm pixels with support for 4-in-1 binning at 50MP? At this point, I'd rather take a true 1" 20-24MP camera instead of this three-digit megapixel smartphone camera sensor with that tiny pixel size.

Oh how happy I am that Sony is still out of this childish megapixel war. As a very succesful camera company they know, that resolution must be supported by the lens, and with such tiny lenses that's not possible.
Good job, Sony, keep going your own way!

But Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei or Apple don't are not big winners or cleaning the floor with the other brands, 😂

And then we have the new MI 11 ultra which won on most photo categories.

But hey, no matter what it's a mobile phone and most of the big brands flagships make brilliant pictures no matter what.
