          I use dark mode all the time for messaging app, email and only the white background for web browsing. It doesn't preserve battery since IPS are backlighted, but looks good and dark mode on oled saves battery.
          Brought that phone in oct 2019 for Rs 28,999( $390) for 6/128GB
          dedicated memory card slot, 3.5mm jack, immersive screen without holes or notch and perfect selfies with af lens and group selfies with uw lens.

                    Been using asus zenfone 5z since 2019. so far so good except the battery (deteriorating lil bit). just hoping this zenfone series will be in many markets.

                    haven't seen zenfone 6 and 7 for ages.

And 10-12hours with Facebook, Instagram, browser and email. 7 hours+ while gaming. Even with that IPS screen.(Oled's are way ahead in efficiency)
                          And with android 11, Asus gave option to limit chaging speed and charging limit.(80% or 90%)
                          Hope the smaller version have same screen time with Oled(with 60Hz mode obviously), 5nm chip, efficient RAM and ROM.

                                Compact phones tend to use small energy compare to big phones.

                                Xperia 5 and 5 II has 3400 and 4000mah but they have respectable battery life sometime even better than those 5000mah phones.

                                  Yes! Another smaller compact phone. This is exactly what we want and need. Hope more companies follow this route.

In Miui, apps start stuttering after prolonged use. Longer battery is cool and all, but no at the price of performance. And let's not talk about Samsung here. Their last phone, s20 was a barbecue and had worse battery than that of a 5 year old phone.
