As I was posting this I thought about the possibility of repeat cases (with additional chances of the lawsuit actually being frivolous-- one of the consequences of the McDonalds case is people thinking such lawsuits are easy to win) but thought it was still worth bringing up McDonalds since it seemed to be the ultimate source of the perception. Sorry if I came off harsh, the misrepresentation of the case bothers me. Perhaps because I once was guilty of perpetuation it too, or perhaps just because of the injustice of it all.

Good old America where you can sue ... moreJust because you're ignorant of the details McDonalds (not Starbucks) hot coffee lawsuit doesn't mean it's nonsense. Educate yourself on the case. McDonalds was brutally scalding people across the nation with unsafe machines and ignored repeated warnings from ER physicians.
The individual who sued did so only to cover medical expenses, because the coffee was so hot it cause third degree burns on six percent of their body (their genitals to be specific). This required a skin graft leaving them disabled for two years. I've spilled hot coffee on myself plenty, its never sent me to the ER because when made correctly it's not dangerously hot.
The jury, learning of McDonald's negligence awarded her a larger sum for pain and suffering (which was appealed and greatly reduced-- the real legal tragedy of the US). Following this McDonalds underwent a media campaign to portray the lawsuit as frivolous and people ate it up without question.
So please stop spreading mcDonalds lies.

If they launch phones that don't exist, they can't be bought so consumers don't lose out. What you wrote literally makes no sense. You can't launch a phone that does not exist. That's crazy.

You need 9H protector and a case with protection around the camera if you wanna protect your device properly, all those devices with huge back camera hole need supplementary protection, I see people with no protection what so ever, the phone is completely naked then you cannot complain because smartphones are very fragile, luckily in US you can be part of this lawsuit against Samsung but what about the rest of the world, I hope other countries will take the example but it seems fair to me that first you should protect your device then do a lawsuit even though that glass is cheap on your S20.

Stil like 2 light scratches (thanks God not on the camera part), but you get the point I hope

Depends on the phone and how you treat it. I have the Samsung Galaxy A71 since October and use it as my daily since January, dropped it multiple times (also from stairs) and it is still finw, no performance issues, and the battery lasts me twice as long as some new iPhones (SE 2020 is the worst), so no need to switch from Samsung to Apple if we don't want to. The curved glass is a problem though, more fragile, glad that Apple is sticking to the flat screens

For your information, Samsung has never had a good reputation for making quality phones and you never know when their phones would fail on you. That applied from when they were making feature phones and it doesn't get better.

I have Samsung galaxy S20 but.. my camera glass is good. I just have camera issues when I tap on the camera sometimes it will restart my phone.

I was seriously thinking of getting the S20 last year and got the Note 10 instead; I guess I dodged a bullet.
