There is only 2 choices for foldable phones now.
1. Either you buy display from Samsung, because other manufacturer screen can't fold with any hinge design.
2. Or you license Motorola hinge design(like Huawei) so that display doesn't bend too much inside.

[deleted post]From under which rock have you crawled just this week? Have you ever heard of suppliers and contractors? It's entirely Apple's design and then suppliers and contractors make device for them. 3/4 of phone makers don't have their own manufacturing plants or parts manufacturing. It's all sourced from contractors. So don't be dense and talk about Apple like they rebrand some cheap noname devices with Apple logo and sell them for 15x the price.

Lolz if apple release a foldable phone it we cost more 6000 Euros,China is more advance than US that is the truth they can't believe China has produce 2 different companies that has produce 2 foldable phones which is Huawei and Xioami this two foldable phones already destroyed Samsung fold why apple is still struggling to even produce one 🤧 try again apple you are already late to the party

Which means all the current issues from mass-production of flexible displays(and cost effective) to durability of the screen will be solved by 2022 end for Apple to release a device in subsequent year.
Since Apple is sourcing components from same companies as Android OEMs, this gives an idea of durability of next year Android foldables.
