Usually cheaper than the competition, so in that way people will not have too much complaining when they will change their phones in 12 months time.
Is not pretty, but it is what it is. If you value long term software and you plan to keep a phone 3-5 years for example, do not buy a Xiaomi.
But, if you know you will be changing your phone in 12 months anyway, Xiaomi phones (and even Realme phone to some extent) offer some good features for less money.

If Xiaomi is playing such a dirty trick as in not pushing MIUI13 to a 2019 released flagship (at that time) like Mi9T Pro, then I am afraid this will be my last flagship from Xiaomi. I will go to Samsung S21/22 since price is more or less the same as Mi11Ultra. Good bye Xiaomi. A pity really.
