I'd rather they go for more RAM since they know this device is for creators but not "pros". There's no reason why this device should be more than 250-300$, especially when if ppl did want the latest and greatest they could just get the regular s7+.

I am sound like a cheapskate.
But, I don't think that any android device should be set at a higher price than any apple product. since,
                  1. new android phone/tablets or models are release "weekly'.
                  2. the apps on android are not as well-optimized as those in ios (i may be wrong)

omzig, 06 May 2021-no, it's not thing of the past. for example, JerryRi... moreI can refer multiple devices : my own Lenovo P2 , now family member uses it (4 years old, not the most expensive OLED panel here) - no burn in, My colleague's S5 (7 years old) no burn in, Other colleague had S4 just prior buying S10, board died, but no burn in, Other has S9+ , follow up to that s8+, no burn in so far. I've seen multiple S8-s on second hand market - none of the had sign of burn in. So Maybe JerryRigEverything isn't end of the world and quality of OLED displays increased such that we are unlikely to encounter during usable life of device (yes, by nature OLED is prone to burn in, but it will fail very late as of now) and that small chance isn't a reason to look over better display tech.
And OLED is indeed better tech, it has better colors , pure blacks , contrast and zero backlight bleeding. I too was skeptical, thought it will die like plasma TV-s did, hyped but LCD still overtook them and outlived, but LCD didn't overtook OLED, it improved a lot , but is still trailing behind. So now I'm using OLED phones and have been using them 4 years already, as right now, this is best display tech (until mine-led or micro led will show in refined and affordable form).
As for "hateful comment", my bad, I shouldn't have said that, I took fast with that word and I apologize for that. What I would say rather that people have preferences and we shall not be judgemental, just as much Sammy will regret removing 3.5mm jack, when upgrading my S10e will come due, so people liking OLED more will look for other devices than ones with LCD. It does offer better viewing experience and for most people OLED PWM isn't a problem if you aren't sensitive in first place. I guess that would leave people sensitive to PWM in odd place, but they can still buy LCD tablets and/or we shall push OLED to improve in this area (doubling/tripling its PWM might solve that). LCD will not become better , as I see.

just give us the S8 lineup, the S7 lineup is obsolete now

Anonymous, 06 May 2021AMOLED burn-in issues are thing of past and pwm isn't ... more-no, it's not thing of the past.
for example, JerryRigsEverything reported "crazy burn-in on the screen" of his Samsung S8 Plus after 2,5 years. S8+ is 2017 top-tier model, and Samsung didn't report they do anything to address the issue. it's just that phones are mostly glass-sandwiched disposables nowadays, so most people probably don't use them past 2 years mark to see burn-ins.

-PWM at low frequencies and any brightness level below 99% is exclusively OLED thing, period. most IPS don't have any PWM whatsoever. those which do have do it at a much higher frequencies and at much lower brightness level than OLEDs do.
for example, Mi 10T which does have PWM while having IPS, had PWM frequency 2381 Hz and only starts to flicker at brightness levels below 60%. Samsung S21 Ultra flickers around 250 Hz at any brightness level, including 100%.

-i am not hateful. just saying OLED technology is not superior to IPS. it's different. but folks keep on repeating "no amoled, no buy" etc, as if OLED is some sort of alien technology.

Why are you so much hateful of the idea people liking things? "AMOLED hype" is there because literally everyone except small niche of people is enjoying these displays more than LCD ones.

This Galaxy Tab will find its audience, otherwise Samsung wouldn't bother releasing it.
The fact, that large part of consumers have monkey levels of IQ and prefer words with less syllables doesn't mean Samsung's Tab can not be profitable.

I personally prefer the ips because it's more reliable and have very fiew problems, I owned a tab a 2016 and an s7 and the difference is huge, most people think budget phones when they hear the word lcd, they forget about premium laptops and monitors.
