F... moreOk discussion is good. I will also choose D1100 version of K40 Gaming (which is maybe called Lite) if it is cheap.. Lol because I don't have much money to buy expensive phone :D
For me D1100 is more than enough for my daily task and moderate / casual gaming :)
I like K40 Gaming because the lower bezel is so slim. Just like Mi 11 Lite series.

You can note that even GPU scores are very close. (But true, Genshin Impact works better on 870...)
Several other things aren't tested by Antutu :

D1000+ beats all 865+ by far and even beats some 888
Or Real dedicated AI cores vs DSP+GPU
Even Adreno 650 has some weakness : no Vulkan 1.2, no OpenCL2.1.
Bluetooth 5.2 with Low Energy Audio is available on D1100/1200 with LC3 "standard" codec. Qualcomm 870 (and 888) doesn't fully support Low Energy Audio and use proprietary Aptx.
In some way D1200, is better
In some others SD870 is better
I will choose D1200 (or even D1100) over SD870 when it comes to Europe. Reasons are AV1, 5G carrier aggregation (I won't get mmwave in at least 4 or 5 years in my country...5G CA is a better choice) and avoid proprietary solution.

Not even capable to copy specs properly!
Some exemple of mistakes :
Instruction set : Arm v8.2A on SD870's Kryo 585 (basically Cortex A77) and only v8 on D1200's cortex A78? What a joke!
4k/60is available on D1200
One of the biggest avantage of D1200 (and even D1000+) over even SD888 and A14 isn't emphasized : AV1 hardware decoding

- more GPU cores mean more silicon
- more silicon means more expensive
- more expensive means no sales
- not to forget your main competitor earn money even when he doesn't sale chip with standard essentiel patents.
But Mediatek's choice isn't that bad, despite higher clocked GPU, it doesn't throttle that much compare to Exynos...
On sustain performances, D1200 with G77mp9 can beat G78mp14
On YouTube you can find videos (Frankie Tech):
- on galaxy S21 with 4 antutu tests in a row...in detail, GPU score falls to 185.000
- on D1200, with the same tests, GPU still scores over 240.000
- even on D1000+, GPU still scores over 190.000

Readers please pay attention, every manufacturers you see.. these days, are launching multiple phones and laptops, TWS these days but they don't think about sustainability nor are they doing anything in this regard. The TWS due to their design, are like once the battery wears out (loses its capacity to hold charge) are thrown away and replaced with another pair by the user, this results in ewaste that ultimately is non biodegradable at all and aren't recycled, therefore polluting our planet. You see phones these days, same with phone, most other electronics these days. Smartphone markers have already made the products very difficult to repair and most of us don't bother to get the phone repaired but replaced once issues arrives. We as users should take responsibility and do not frequently buy phones only then the manufacturers will understand and act towards a sustainable future.

However, if you want to play genshin impact, might want to look elsewhere. It plays now without the dimming issue but the battery is a joke when playing it. Thirty minutes and 30% battery life gone. Not good.
