NotAnOpinion, 10 May 2021The sad thing about it, though, you're not saving no m... moreMaybe you're right, but I don't buy "flagship killers". I'm currently using the Moto G8 Power and it does what I want it to do while my previous phone is used by my son and it also does the things he wants his phone to do. I don't worry about updates due to the option of having a custom rom when Motorola dumps this device and due to most of my apps running on Android 7 & above (I only had 2 games which specifically demanded at least Oreo). Besides that, I'm actually worried that after updating to Android 11, installing new updates stopped being a choice and became a "choose when I should update myself". Call me paranoid, but I liked it more when I was given a choice whether I wanted the update or not (And I took my sweet time to update to Android R because I was waiting for reviews about the update)

"According to the press release vivo phones launched in the European, Australian and Indian markets are eligible for extended software support."

Really, Vivo? I'd rather stay with Samsung or Sony or even Apple at this point. At least I still get timely updates from any of them here in Malaysia.

No, they absolutely need to skip a model released basically last month and start this policy with July 2021. It's like they are actively avoiding to take care of products people buy. Pathetic.

Literally s**t people used as an argument against Apple's 5 years policy. Can you imagine anyone being so dense to not ask Android phone makers for better software support, instead they defend them by saying they want even less because it's so "perfect". I want to know what drugs these people are on.

3years is lot less for the exorbitant prices. Plus battery frustrating will start in 6months, so yes why wait for 3years

FYA: the x60 is not guaranteed to get 3 years of updates. ONLY X model launched after this july.

Wow, samsung even included S10, and mid rangers up to A5x series.

If you purchase a so-called flagship killer every other year, you've paid more for those cheapos all together ($1400+, even worse paying a ridiculous overpriced Android device from Xiaomi, OPPO, etc. $1200+ every other year due to abandon support) compared to you would by just one solid flagship with SOLID 5 YEARS+ of OS, features, and security updates. (pass 7-years!)

I upgrade our iPhones' devices almost every year due to we have children, we pass our current unit to our children and refresh our line because Apple is just unmatched when it comes to excellent software, family sharing-sercurity, opt-out from tracking apps, unmatched performance, best in-class financial security and sooooooo much more.

I don't hide the fact that I've been using midrange phones for the last 5 years, then again, phones age faster than PCs and cars so why invest more if you'll change it 2-3 years from now? 2)

This is better for environment than removing charger from the box. Make it so battery is easier to replace and we are set to make smartphone more environmentally friendly.

Tigolebitties, 10 May 2021bye- why do ppl keeps bringing apple into every single arti... moreBecause obviously, Apple is the standard, even when haters refuses to admit to it. Sammy didn't change its very sad 2-year policy until all the overwhelming Apple's praise for its OS support update, remember?!

Now, it has trickled down to other Android OEMs to exyend the OS support, not because they really love their customers, but for it only applys to certain products while Apple show love for all its products, and that is why one of the major reasons, all Android products will still be inferior to Apple because all these Asian companies fear long support for its own products because they know its products will not hold up for years to come without major software / hardware issues.

bye- why do ppl keeps bringing apple into every single article 😭😭🏃
