NotAnOpinion, 10 May 2021See. Apple has started a revolution... AGAIN! Even thoug... moreNobody cares about updates on Android.
Android from 6 years back is getter than current ios.
Only revolutionary thing Apple did was jack up prices of flagship phone which ultimately helps manufacturers, not consumers.

"we always innovate with the users in mind."

Yea, users sure love that weak mono speaker and tiny battery. Oh wait...

Still waiting for that origin is update for my Nex 3. Or at the very least the patches for March and April. Still on February.

It is better than not giving updates. Better than an "Leading Brand" that only provides 2 years of updates (Realme)

Updates that slows down the phone, introduces plenty of bugs, ruins the user experience, wreaks the battery and makes the phone unusable after 2 years.

Now it is up to Realme, Oneplus and Huawei to do it. We are especially waiting for Realme, since the CEO in the interview sajd that as as "Leading Brand" they provide 2 years of updates. Clearly, any companies above are better than companies that only provides 2 years updates and also Significantly better than an company claiming itself to be an leading brand but by only having 2 years of uodatws

AnonD-994853, 10 May 2021Nope it is 2. 3 years is only security updates, not softwareThat's only true for the Nord series. OnePlus flagships get 3 OS updates. OnePlus 5 went from Android 7 to Android 10.

The only caveat is that you'll recieve major update only once after 3 years

Someguy20, 10 May 2021Nearly close to Apple, fortunatelyThat'll never happen.

Too many untalented software / hardware Android engineers, greed, ignorance, cloning, poor customer service on and on.

Joe, 10 May 2021Translation: phones will cost 30-60% more so here's on... moreDon't worry. You'd still be able to purchase your yearly recycle throw away $100-400 cheapo so-called flagship killer garbage. 😏

See. Apple has started a revolution... AGAIN!

Even though, 3-years for a OS update is still extremely weak but much better than a year or so.

Android still has a verrrrrry long way to go before it's EARNED the premium tag, though.

                                      only x series

                                      but literally

dead on all their other phones.
these brands always be releasing rebrands of each other for different regions. like what the hell

that'll literally make repairing or software updates incredibly hard.

the most notorious ones are xiaomi, oppo, vivo and realme. like

why release the same phone for different regions under the same name, while you can put all of the bands needed together for the phone in the country to work, and release it under the same name, the same specs and the same price?

at least apple doesn't do any of these bs with their smartphone

samsung is fine but their entry level chipsets on different regions are so bad that they actually need to stop manufacturing exynos chipsets and use qualcomm chipsets for all of their flagships.

idk how to find a way to complain about this but someone will.
