That's what I mean. The new aspect ratio phones provide less area than older phones.
There's a huge size jump from a Mi11 to an 8in tablet. For such a rich and diverse market with thousands of models, there is a remarkable void and lack of options there. There aren't even bad options.

I'm sorry but what do you mean? But bezel-less phones DO offer more screen area for the same footprint? I mean, it all depends on what you compare it to. Other phones with the same dimensions as the Mi 11 from a few years ago would've had smaller screens with bigger bezels.
For example, the Mi Mix 2 had a 6.44" display and it was 174mm tall. Meanwhile this phone has a bigger 6.8" display and it's only 164mm tall. Compared to the Mi Max 2, the Mi 11 offers more screen area for even LESS footprint (that's even better!). Does that make sense?
And I don't don't why you said "the same footprint". If it were the same footprint as the Mi Mix 2, it would probably be a gigantic 7.4" display, which is too big of a screen to use as a phone.
Maybe I did not fully understand your comment, but whatever the case I do not think what you said is logical in any way.

Still a bit small hehe. I have huge bezels and 10% more screen area now. Bezel less phone should be able to offer more screen area for the same footprint, not less.

Here's a shocker. The 7.1in Black Shark 3 Pro has the same screen area as my 6.6in Honor Note 8.
Because we've departed from 16:9 screens we've also given up on a lot of screen area.
The wider the AR the larger the diagonal needs to be to achieve the same screen area.
Meanwhile I'm just trying not to downgrade my screen area, people are just obsessing about how 7 is a big number when it really isn't.

alcatraz, 12 May 2021I agree fully with the people in the big screen flagship ca... moreI think you should look into the Mi 11. It has a huge 6.8" QHD AMOLED display with one of the highest screen-to-body ratio. It's also the same 8.1mm thickness as the Mate 20 X.
I personally don't like huge phones, but if I were to pick one I'd go with the Mi 11 because of its ergonomics.

Not even the Samsung S20 Ultra or S21 Ultra's 6.8" 20:9 screen is as big as them. I definitely would want to see the 16:9 or 18:9 screen aspect ratio making a comeback. I don't want a taller phone, I want a wider phone.

In "Lava Z2 Max" all features given are good, but if in this phone have quite more extension

I agree fully with the people in the big screen flagship camp. Give us ONE phone please!!! Just ONEEEEEEE. What the hell are all these 10mm thick gaming phones that look like they belong on batmans belt?
There is literally NOTHING after the mate20x. I'm still on an Honor Note 8 myself. It's like 5 years old and I can't upgrade to anything. The Mate 20 x can't be rooted and I prefer the screen AR and resolution of my old phone.
I need something a bit more durable than a foldable phone.

Even Android go needs at least 4gb ram, they should at least provide the option. Otherwise, might be a good study phone indeed.
