Apple is just trying to lock their products down even more with every part being Soldered Down which means, if it breaks! Their recommendation would be to BUY a NEW ONE!. Not to mention everything tied down with T1 chip so even a single chip change would make the product break. Heck maybe even just a keyboard swap will break it.

On my friend's Windows surface pro, it connected so easily... Just plug and play.
One can actually do something productive instead of just using it for half baked web browsing and watching movies (duh!! My bad even content consumption is bad because of that awkward ratio of IPad pro)
