Weekly poll: is the Asus Zenfone 8 the small phone for you or would you like a Zenfone 8 Flip?

Or perhaps neither is right? Keep in mind that as far as small flagships go, would-be buyers are hardly spoiled for choice.

both zenfone and xperia are my favorites, but here i am more inclined to xperia 5 iii... given the fact that they have almost same width, hands on, no problem, the midget people's pocket says otherwise...
but some people whose preference are mostly on xperia "language", may find zenfone 8 as an option as it has some things good, like the frosted back which is good in the hand like the xperia z5 and xperia 1 iii, a headphone jack, sorry for no storage expansion, but at least it is almost there...
now, we will know soon if the "battlecry" for compact phone has strong soldiers, the ios camp is not, since most iphone users chose the "bigger" variants over the iphone mini...

        I think Zenfone does better and this video was made on pre launch firmware even got an ota with camera and performance
        improvements
        Plus ip68 and all Zenfone 8 looks better value imo
        Asus even has stuff from rog the armory crate and performance profiles (including a advanced bar where you can set custom values)

            I will get this if Google will not surprise us with a compact phone this coming announcement

              I was ready to buy the ZF8, but I found a great deal (at least for my country) for the S21 256Gb for €740. Now:
              -ZF8 is marginally smaller.
              -Both do not have SD card slot, I was convinced that the ZF8 would have one. If it had, this would be the decisive factor.
              -S21 has wireless charging, I use that.
              -S21 is right here, right now.
              -Samsung support in my country and my city is phenomenal
              All these led me once more to Samsung. But for me ZF8 is a perfectly viable alternative that would easily buy instead of Sony 5 III.

                  What I don't like about the Asus ZenFone 8:
                  1. Punch hole. I prefer the approach of Sony. Small bezels but no punch hole or teardrop Display (XPERIA 1 and 5)

                  2. Display ratio of almost 21:9. That remote control display ratio is completely nuts.

                  3. Battery mAh size too small. They could have made the device a bit thicker and at a 4500mAh battery or even 5000mAh.

                  4. No microSD slot/expandable memory.
