At least, note 8 2021 should use amoled punch hole display 90hz, stereo speakers and flat rear camera otherwise skip it and go for note 10/10s

        Hey, Xiaomi!
Why you didn't re-release the Redmi 8 with the upgrades?

The only drawback is it comes without call recorder which would be very handy for me. Talked to xiaomi and told me they switch it off on the global version with no instructions on how to switch it on again

Re-releasing old phones? Giving me Blackberry vibes. Their new models were selling low in number for a couple of years before their end. Still, they didn't care about innovation at that time.

nickname optional, 16 May 2021Instead of re-releasing the same phone over & over, how... moreAs a ex-user of xiaomi phone. I can say this with 💯 percent that you won't get Android 11 for your Redmi Note 8. Even so called the flagship phone will only get 1 Android OS update..

Instead of re-releasing the same phone over & over, how about supporting the existent Redmi Note 8/8T?
If Xiaomi would just extent the updates for another year or two (getting also Android 11), they could get rid of older stocks in warehouses too.
I have heard that the Chinese version of this model will get Android 11, but no information about the Global "Note 8" and the European "Note 8T" at all.

Hard choice for 2021, 15 May 2021IDK what's wrong with this company . Instead of going... moreThis, exactly this. Xiaomi should stop making some models available only for China market. I live in Europe and some phones that I was interested about can't find them here (like Mi10 Ultra, Black Shark 4, Redmi K40 gaming).
I was looking for a nice gaming phone and had to settle for Poco F3, because is the only one I can find in here.
And I don't want to import phones from China.
That's the problem with Xiaomi, they are too divided. They have models for India, models for China and models for the rest of the world. Something like Samsung did their Exynos-Snapdragon chipsets. Makes me feel less important than other people. Say what you want about Apple, but at least they threat everybody the same.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro was so much more snappier because of the MediaTek G90T chipset which ran circles around the SD665 in the Redmi Note 8. But I didn't mind because Redmi Note 8T had all the features I wanted at a lower price point.

Honestly, i experience 3 Xiao Mi phone in last year. The phone quality is bad and not durable. Really regret with Xiao Mi phone. Even i used 3 generation of xiaomi band, also not durable. For me, is No for XiaoMi. (Person experience)

I am following also the Note 9 series forum on Xiaomi community as this series was claimed to be number one in sales worldwide and it's obvious now that people had enough of this company and its terrible software updates policy.
And yes there are some updates being pushed from time to time and even after years but they do change nothing. No improvement, no real fixes nothing just security updates or more rarely UI changes and new pointless features that no one cares.

Like i got 18 months of updates on my note 5 pro for 170 euro phone thats just awesome. I have had low end phones from well known brands and they maybe get only 1 update in there life time. Never mind that if the xiaomi phone have snapdragon cpu then you can just flash a pixel experience or some other android on it and get more updates. I can have android 11 on my note 5 pro if i only would install the custom OS on it
