AnonD-940827, 17 May 2021Now you are talking about low range phones xD and no, Sony ... moreXZs was last flagship with emmc memory. XZP has ufs2.1.
They never had slower ram, always ddr4 or ddr4x like samsung and LG.
Many chinese phones had 6GB, but ddr3.

2016 models had some "cuts" because of the Earthquake that destroyed the sensor factory.
Fixing the factory was priority over cellphones.

786, 17 May 2021Lg, and Motorola and Htc need too learn this is how it'... moreWell.

LG is done with making cellphones.
HTC cannot afford paying for this kind of help.
Motorola has midranges as main focus, not worth using this for Moto G.

Their compact was the compact flagship though, against whatever mini/lite or whatever the other brands called their smaller but still bigger phones.! Yes, even Samsung was slow on the best hardware, in 2018.

19mm is far too wide angle for normal use, you’d need a heavy crop.
Dxomark does not measure or consider perspective distortion so phone makers keep making the lenses ever wider resulting in more distortion.

I picked up my old LG g3 with a 29.2mm equivalent lens, wow everything looks so much more natural even if the low light performance is poor.

Not everyone knows what wide angle distortion is. Phones do not have optical zoom and have to either digital zoom or merge between two cameras.

AnonD-940827, 17 May 2021When you directly says ram has nothing to say. Storage, ram... moreDear user, the XZ phones where high-end phones, and the XA series where mid-rangers, and the L series where the low-end ones. Go and ask Sony if you disagree, but these are facts here. Sony's XZ lineup was their high-end one, and the XZ Premium was the Uber one, the best of the best(such as the Note series of Samsung), but this doesn't mean the XZ series where mid-ranger(the S series from Samsung are not mid-ranger). Usually the main thing which tells us which is a flagship, is the chipset. Chipset tells us a phone is a mid-ranger or not, you can add 12 GB of RAM, if a phone has a Snapdragon 690 CPU for example, it will NEVER be called a flagship. One more thing, 2018 was the year when the whole 4 GB thing already started to change, but there where still out many phones with 4 GB of RAM, such as the Pixel 3XL for example. One more thing to know if a phone is a mid-ranger or not, is the price tag. A high-end phone with a high-end chipset always costs more. The XZ phones where more expensive than the XA ones. The last thing I would mention is internal storage, usually flagships have more internal storage. And one more last thing 4 GB back in those days was OK these days we need more power, because our phones can do more and more each year(even Apple has 6 GB now), and Sony phones by the way where pretty good at RAM management.

From a photographic point of view, the chosen focal length (19 mm) is only a niche use case.
Most fixed lens cameras cameras come either with an equivalent focal length of 50 mm or 35 mm. That's the focal lengths that come closest to human vision (hence the term "normal lens") and are useful in most circumstances.
Alternatively, they could use 24mm and offer an advanced lens attachment for 50 mm.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come, and not just another unique device for a unique market. I, for one, would love to have a smartphone with a single one-inch camera module.

                                      And a flat screen.

And a 3.5mm jack (which this device has).

It is more likely that some other manufacturer will make something similar than Sharp becomes available locally (within a reasonable price range) sadly.
