Guru, 19 May 2021I need budget windows tablets. Please make Windows 10X espe... moreI don't need 10X or 10S or RT or whatever. I just need relatively good touch support, and non-premium devices with ARM. I had dual boot Android/W10 tablet (Atom based) and it was ALWAYS in Windows. Unluckily it broke (dropped to floor one too many times). Intel Atom is basically dead. And Microsoft did right thing to start porting to ARM. Now if they'd just support midrange ARM CPUs or preferably other non Qualcomm devices. And price the W10 for those tablets at 1$. Chinese manufacturers would do the rest gladly. And I'd buy one as soon as they are under 200$.

Microsoft should stop with NTOSKRNL and replace it with a MS build of Linux Kernel with proprietary blobs. And run the whole re-written Windows Userspace should run on top the MS build of Linux Kernel.

The result would be the operating system the world is craving for. Maybe this will give Windows the ability to run on ARM, PowerPC, RISV-V, AMD64, EM64T, SPARC platform's.

Their "best" OS is slowly rotting away with every buggy half-baked update they make. Now they cancelled the thing that might actually become a good OS. What a bad choice.

What happened to the super intelligent One Windows Operating System that could determine what type of device it was installed on and adapt the features and Operating System to that device???

Was this not the reason for canceling Windows Mobile and Windows RT, and to create the Universal Windows Kernel to combine all into one Operating System where only one app would need to be created and would work across multiple different devices by adapting itself accordingly?

Windows and their paid reporters/bloggers always lied that the updates are fast and small but we always ended up more than half an hour just to install any of the half-yearly updates. The major updates are far worse, took more than 1 hour! To make things even worse, they crash our systems after updated, instead of repairing.

I like the UI too. And I use the store as well. There's this YouTube client MyTube which I use extensively and which is better than the actual YouTube web (only available in the MSFT store). Although, It will be better if they let us uninstall the components we don't need though.

Same things as always with Microsoft, cluttering more and more their operating system. What a mess Windows 10 is, like most Microsoft products. It really is amazing how a company its size can make such horrible software. They really should make a new modern operating system dropping all the backwards compatibility rubber, useless features and registry model if they want a chance to compete with MacOS. Sadly Apple's OS is the only good desktop. GNU/Linux and the OSS are closing the visual gap with desktops like GNOME40, KDE and software compatibility, but are still a far cry from Apple
