Anonymous, 22 May 2021So I have seen a couple of reviews regarding the Galaxy Tab... moreI think it's due to Samsung's duplicate apps. 6 GB is definitely not enough for a Sasmung phone. Can't believe they gimped it like this.

So I have seen a couple of reviews regarding the Galaxy Tab S7 powered by SD865+ & 6GB of RAM and those reviews state that slow down can be felt if there are “too many” apps open within the RAM which seem a problem to do with RAM management rather than the SoC slowing.
I have noticed this also with my Tab S5e, SD670 & 4GB RAM, the minute you clear the RAM it works better again, not that the SD670 is a great SoC, but again RAM management could be better handled to prevent this slowdown

Since the FE being a more affordable version of the more premium variants, I actually do think that SD 870 makes more sense as it has similar performance for a much cheaper price. Regardless of the chipset though, I just hope that this year FE will have a wired DeX support. I really love using DeX, but I don't want to spend a lot on the premium variants.

Honestly I would've loved to see SD870 instead 888 this year is kind of 🔥🔥

beep bop boop, 21 May 20216gb? bruh we need atleast 8gbIndeed, but i believe it's only to make it differ in between the s21 variants, s21 and the plus both has 8gb,
So if they put 8gb on th FE edition, it won't make sense to put a higher price for the normal S21..

I keep looking at this phone and definitely does not say the word flagship to me. There are phones that do as such like iPhone 12 Pro, Xperia 1 III, or the late Galaxy Note 20 (not to name Chinese brands here). ...the S series looks just like an average phone, and the SE version more so.

And now it has been pretty much confirmed that Samsung Throttled the Snapdragon version out of the box. This primarily is responsible for better battery life compared to other Snapdragon 888 devices.

AnonD-999271, 21 May 2021Only 6GB ram? lmao!
Even my 2 year old Snapdragon 855 phon... moreIt won’t bottleneck the SoC performance, 6GB RAM is just enough for a few apps.
But I did own the S20 FE 5G (sold it because of touchscreen issues) and the thermal throttling is rather aggressive (it doesn’t get hot, but the performance is rather modest). I did try increasing the thermal threshold via the Game Labs feature on the settings though
