IT'S... moreWith new build up micro kernel (brain of OS), source code that only consumed 8gb instead of stock Android at 60gb, features that might even surpass what Android 12 can offer, no problems at installing Google apps (go see the video), so yeah, I dont mind about it at all even if it based on Android 10. (Not 100% sure, might be just a framework from it in order for Android APK compatibility).
Some other chinese phone company already apply for Harmony OS implementation. Another loss for Google (the reason why Google warn Trump Administration before, and Google beg them to continue working with Huawei, they still insist not to)
So yeah, Android 10? Its a whole new IoT system implementation. Get that facts right inside your head.

Huawei phones were great. Let's see what can they bring for us. Other than that Samsung and Xiaomi are always available. And their phones are great too.

gogu, 25 May 2021android 12 is already out, if they are still releasing this... moreGot April security patch last week on my P40. The device still the best phone I ever had, even with no GMS. EMUI is fantastic, stable & reliable. Hate the launcher looks, simply replace it with Lawnchair V2 launcher. Pixel-like look with EMUI features. Will stick to it until Harmony OS update comes in July.

For me the Huawei one was much more useful due to the ability to instantly translate images in different apps (I'm not sure who they partnered with to provide the actual translation, think it was Microsoft but could be wrong). I think Vivo are the only other Chinese brand to have a similar function but never tried a Vivo phone. Google maps are completely useless where I am, so I only use those when I am back in Europe

android 12 is already out, if they are still releasing this based on android 10 then no thanks. My p40 pro is an amazing phone but still has android 10 and march security patch while the s8 of a friend got april security patch 2 weeks ago. They need to up their game in update department. If the new harmony os is not at the level of android 12 feature and security + privacy wise then ill be looking at samsung or xiaomi next year for a new phone.

Which wont make a lack of apps like in windows phone and outdate BB os . Also harmony os is based on lite os kernel which makes fast boot app , speed app execution , super power management . check all the demo video's . have good possibility it might have a future
