Is SMS legit still being used after WhatsApp and other internet-based messaging apps came to smartphones? Legit question, because in my country SMS is only used by companies to send activation codes, credit card balance and whatnot... The last time I sent an SMS was back when I had a phone with phisical buttons on it. But it seems Google decided to focus on this app instead of Hangouts...

Funny when I read most of the comments here. Where all the Android fanboys gone?? Hiding?? But, if it about Apple. This whole news (selection) will get bombarded like no tomorrow. Spam filter is useless. Filtering by keyword should be a standard for spam filtering. Xiaomi messaging app was decent for this task but after i switched to Poco, i was introduced with this thing. Worst sms app experience that i had.
