You are much better off buying the 5ii, instead off 10ii.

People who are complaining about the pricing need to understand that Xperia 10 III actually doesn't have a lot of competitions - you can't find a phone on the market that have ALL of IP65/68 water resistance, 4500mAh battery, FHD OLED display and a proper 2x telephoto lens at the same price range. It has some shortcomings but makes up for them in other areas, and Sony's pricing for this phone is, IMO, fairly reasonable.

Anonymous, 31 May 2021Cameras on both 1II and 5II are outstanding. It's up t... moreUh, I wouldn't say they are "outstanding". The colours are fairly natural (aside from tendency to add red tint on yellow/orange) and it retains tonality pretty well in shadow regions, but it's very easy to criticise other aspects of Xperia 1 II's cameras - exposure compensation is hit and miss, noise reduction is quite aggressive, lens isn't very sharp for both the main and the telephoto cameras and long exposure capture is enforced in low light unlike other phones that allow you to turn the night mode off. It's not a bad phone camera, sure, but there are other phones that do better in terms of consistency, dynamic range, or detail capture etc - it performs well for the most part for sure, but does not excel at any one category.
The gold standard of a smartphone camera I know in real life is one of my friend's OnePlus 8 Pro with gcam installed - though I must admit it's a bit unfair - zero shutter lag, superb detail capture, very low noise and WB + exposure adjustment that are spot on 95% of the time.. and yet it has no problems capturing fast moving objects. No phones I have seen so far come even close to it with their stock camera apps, even though I do admit they are all great in their own respective ways. Now THAT is what I would call "outstanding".

Pffttt..... How... more"Literally any phone can score so much higher by having the longest zoom range, even if the main sensor sucks"
That doesn't explain why S21 Ultra is out of the top 10, or why Mate 30 Pro got higher point than P30 Pro, or Mi 11 Ultra scores better in zoom category than Mate 40 Pro+. It's not that simple.

Alas Sony's marketing leaves a lot to be desired this and the other two models were announced back in April. So June for the 10 iii and who knows when for the 1 iii & the 5 iii. As the 1 iii has been postponed until further notice due to the pro 1 iii being released in Japan??
So who knows when we will get to see the other two. Oh by the way the 10 iii is being released on the 11th June and I wont get it until 16th June??.

Anonymous, 31 May 20217.5W charger :/ waaat, but no worries they sell 30W charger too.So what do you do with that 7.5 W charger in the box? Isn't it more environmentally friendly to package a fast charger with the phone?

Anonymous, 31 May 2021I can imagine how much did you pay for them :). Since Sony ... morewell, not really... but of course, it depends on the supply channel... got my 1ii equivalent to 1100usd, shipping and custom tax included... it is actually cheaper than samsung and apple flagship with the given memory configuration...
but, for samsung and apple flagships most people can buy through installment, it is actually pricier, but since it is also on installment, it might not be "heavy on the pocket"...
... just buy what you want, no need for alibis and advice from anyone... ;)

I am a huge fan of Sony phones and I cannot express how good they are!
But there are some things that will kill you while using it.
I started years back with xz2 which was amazing but decided to stop charge at some stage after warranty ended. Then Sony ended up support for mobile in Australia which is sad but you can still get your model online.
Then I got the Xperia 1ii which is prime screen and prime sound - this is by far the best phone I have ever owned and maybe will ever! But th phone is too big and got cracked while in my pocket luckily insurance helped me replace it with Xperia 5ii which is a smaller version. It's great device - the size is just right in your hand. Battery is great too. But some bugs will just be difficult to carry .. for exampl
