I like the 3-D design at the back. It gives a premium feel and under the hood, a solid mediatek processor is good for gaming too.

Vi is Vodafone/Idea? no, not really. there are places where it just does not work. the only way to get it covered all the time is to have 2 sims. jio is probably the only one which does not deliver fast internet, but at least it seems to work everywhere at the cost of speed. other, like airtel or idea work really fast in one spot, but then they may not work at all if you move just 1 km away. 5g is only for big cities or certain areas. going somewhat rural and say bye to 4g..

The Android Freak, 02 Jun 2021Redmi Note 10/Poco M3/Poco M2 Pro and Micromax devices are ... moresadly redmi note 10 failed bend test big time. m3 pro has to be tested to see what it does deliver. as i said, i do really like M3 - it's sturdy, it got handy stereo, great screen with no PWM, great sound from 3.5 jack, great battery life, no throttling and no heat issues, all that with a reasonable price tag. sd 662 is rather weak but sufficient, there are no irritating freezes, just minor lags in certain UI gestures.

in china redmi note 9 4G (redmi 9 power/poco M3) 6/128 cost 1,099 CNY.
redmi note 10 5G (poco M3 Pro) cost 1,199 CNY. so the price difference is 9% only. that also tells that regular M3, while having less powerul SoC, is overall is a very decent device: not very bright, but color accurate screen with excellent contrast, UFS 2.2 storage, decent stereo speakers, great SNR for 3.5 audio jack, 6Gb LPDDR4X, great battery life, no throttling and heating issues, sturdy case. cameras meh though.
i must also note that there are many places in India where even 4G sucks big time - speedtest ookla shows 0,5 Mbps with 70-100 and slower pings. so 5G phone is premature fo sure

no matter whether there is 5G coverage or not, 5G capability is one of the key selling points of upcoming devices.

IMO, offering 5G phones in a region with zero coverage is a tough sell. Especially when, as pointed in the article, there are better previous-gen alternatives available.
