Blehh..all the theory about nexus devices being reference designs and not supposed to be top line material is bullshit.
Its just the OEMs excuse to not eat sales of their own flagships.
When the nexus one came out it was the one of the best devices of its time, if only google advertised it more it could've been the hottest piece of technology then.
It was samsung who started this whole nexus should be lower than flagship specs thingy..Now all of us has bought into the idea that nexuses should be inferior.

These nexus phones are just test devices, and they are supposed to be inferior against the OEM's flagship phone, so the low memory capacity is understandable. Let's just wait for Google to release a phone from Motorola. I hope that it will be a Razr Nexus which will be granted a very slim body and an eccentric design with flagship specs.

Just because you own a smartphone does not make you smart. Just saying.
Anyway, I'm hoping this Nexus 4 has an SD Card Slot.
I want the phone but don't want Google's Cloud service.

I see many of us here want Xperia Nexus. Well, it seems to be the very place where the power meets the style, it should be great. But the thing is, Sony already did a great job in software optimization and enhancements. Sony has so many new tech both hardware and software wise. I dont see Nexus as a significant boost for Sony.
Please kindly tell me what Nexus can give to Sony? Because it's already obvious to me (or maybe for us) what Sony can give to Nexus.

AnonD-27960, 13 Oct 2012usually lcd screens of Sony is much better in daily use wit... moreBrightness is a fact, but i think you never tried a SGS2/3 yourself, at the very end of the video, your guy enters the color/contrast settings.. It was set to dynamic. You can get more "lcd" like colors if you want in colder modes. But hey, not here to sell you a product, just to set things up instead of keep reading same comments for years.

The Android OS bloating up again with 4.2 causing the lower benchmarking results under that hardware.
Phones like this will be helping WP8

Android only has a few Nexus phones. All WP8 phones will be "Nexus" phones of Windows Phone. Microsoft controls the OS software and updates on all WP8. Google only controls the software and updates on Nexus devices.

For me, the Nexus line has to be the most competitive to the iPhone. It already trumps the iPhone in a number of ways, but the pure OS has to have the best hardware. Best Cam, best processors...etc.
I don't like comparing something like the SGS3 to the iphone, because the OS isn't as intended by Google, plus the Manufacturer and Network Bloatware taints it. Yes, you can use a custom ROM, but that means risk, and a consumer shouldn't have issues like the EMC Brickbug to worry about.
